Plaza Inn Lunch and Dinner

This will be my third trip to DLR, so I am still learning all about it!

I have been reading that Plaza Inn is considered CS for lunch and dinner. Is that true? We did the breakfast there years ago, and had ADRs for it.

I was wondering how the Lunch and Dinner works... Any experiences?

I have found the menu, and it looks pretty good, plus its mostly indoor, from what I remember.

How does it work as CS? Where do you order?

They have various "stations", and you pick your food up at whichever ones you want something from. Just as you walk in, in the center, is where the salads and desserts are - those are generally pre-plated, so you serve yourself. Then there are separate stations for pasta and for the chicken/meat loaf - you tell the Cast Member what you want and they plate it for you. Usually there are lines at the food stations, and they seem to move very slooowly. The beverages are self-serve. You take your tray to one of the cash registers and pay there, then look for a table. When the restaurant is busy that is sometimes a challenge.

I really like the fried chicken there, but the logistics leave a bit to be desired.

There are tables inside but also outside, there has always been plenty of seating when we go. but we like to go around 8:00-8:15, get a table outside and watch the fireworks. It's not super busy when we go, we walk in, get our food, get our drinks and go eat, DBF and I will get a chicken plate and a side salad and share, then after we are done we get a dessert and share it between the 4 of us while we watch the fireworks.
