Hi! I want to make a reservation for 710 (first time offered) at the Plaza Inn character breakfast. Park opens at 8, trip is in June. Will we need to use a day from our 3 day park pass to enter for breakfast? I think we will but can't find that info anywhere. Thanks!! -Michelle

Yes, you need to use a park ticket day to enter the parks.

For an 8am opening, is there 7am extra magic hours and/or magic morning hours for people on site or people with park hoppers? If this is the case, I would try to visit attractions at park opening and then do a late breakfast there instead/ like 2-3 hours after park opening. That would allow you to ride rides when they're low lines and then enjoy the breakfast/ it's a great breakfast by the way with lots of characters

Go to the "Character Breakfast" entry point (it will be denoted overhead. They will have a list that you will be on if you have a reservation.) Specify to the CM that you're going in for your reservation and that you're NOT using your MM. They'll process you as a regular breakfast customer and won't hit your MM.

if there is MM, i would book a later breakfast so you can use that first hour to hit up rides.

if you have already used your MM a couple days prior, should you get an early breakfast or still try to go a bit later?

I always plan mine this way. I use my MM on another day first just to be safe tho. So this time the park opened at 9..MM was 8. Reservation was first of the day at 8:10. They let us in with our ticket and we didn't lose our MM (because I'd used it.) I've heard of people not losing it and I've heard of people losing it.

Anyway, this is my favorite 'hack'. You get in and eat your breakfast and get out sometimes before the park opens...like a bonus MM ;)

For us it would be an 8am opening and a MM starting at 7am
Disney dining said the earliest would be 7:40am for a reservation. 7:10 would be better, with 7:40 I feel like we would be behind everyone when the park opened to all at 8am

Did you call right as your dates opened up? They tend to go fast. :\

I seem to recall that the first available time is different for MM mornings than it is on non-MM mornings.

Tomorrow would be the first date I can book it!
So 3am online or 7am if I call :)

I'm unsure about it, not sure I want to waste time eating so early but also like the idea of getting in just a tad earlier...

So I called. I was able to get a 7:10am seating.
Now I have to decide if that's the best route or if I should make a later one, like 9:30 or 10

I did post this question in the big thread about MM, EMH
Because I would love feedback....

We've done the 7:10 breakfast before and also a later breakfast. This year we are doing a 10:30 so that it is more like lunch. When we went at 7:10 we were NOT done by 8:00 when the park opened. We were done in about 70 minutes, so it was still easy to walk on to rides after breakfast. Many people suggest blocking out 90 minutes of time for your character meal. After all you are paying for the experience, rather than the food. However, first thing in the morning they are not super busy so you get to see the characters more quickly than later in the day, so you could get out closer to an hour.

Yeah that's been our experience. There aren't as many people in that MM breakfast time (cuz people don't think they can do it) so we got all the characters SUPER fast and then we got a couple of them again. Hook and my daughter had a running gag going LOL
