I'm just curious if anyone has done this lately? if so what are you thoughts on it regarding the food, character interactions and is the cost worth it.

thanks

Yes, the breakfast is worth every penny. I would compare this meal to the buffet at GCH. We saw no less then 20 characters. IMO Fairy Godmother was the most fun. There is wonderful inter-action with the characters. We saw Fairy Godmother, Hook,Minnie, Smee, quite a few of the non speaking characters.

The food buffet had fresh fruit, Mickey waffles, pan cakes, made to order omlettes, bacon, sausage, hash browns, scrambled eggs, toast, bagels, cream cheese, sort of remembering lox but not sure, soft drinks, juices, coffee, teas, It is an all you care to eat buffet.

The price is lower then other buffets. The only buffet that has lots of items on the buffet is Goofy's which is fun. It has good character inter action also-- just not as many as Minnie's.

I think you will enjoy this character breakfast.

I went in December and thought the food was just okay. The character interaction though was A+++.

We went mid week in September. After everyone's comments here, I was expecting more characters than we had. We saw

Minnie
Pooh
Tigger
Eeyore
Chip N Dale
Captain Hook
Fairy godmother

It's still a good amount but I've seen people on here say 12-13 regularly and that just didn't happen for us.

The food was good and I thought the experience was worth the price. I've been to DL several times in my life and always wanted to eat there, just because it felt like a special experience. I'd consider it again but I wouldn't go in expecting so many characters just in case you get less than what seems to be normal.

We always eat there when we are at the park. Love it!!!! Last time was a year and a half ago and it was great like always. Really hoping to be there in June!!!!

We love the Plaza Inn! We've been 5-6 times, and have had a great experience each time.

Our last visit, 2nd week of December, we saw:

Chip
Dale
Pooh
Tigger
Minnie
Max

They each came around multiple times, and as usual, the interaction was wonderful. It was fewer than we have seen in years past, but they do not guarantee any number. On our first (and only ;)) visit to Goofy's kitchen, there were only 4 characters, and only 2 came to our table. But others have had very different experiences than we did and have seen many more characters. So, I try to remember each experience really is different.

As far as the food goes, it's average. It is plentiful and there are plenty of options. It's not great, but we don't go for the food anyway, so it's not something that registers much for me. I do prefer the food at PCH as well as the character interaction, but Plaza is really enjoyable as well.

Oh, one item I do not like. They do not take your picture with a character. That's a real bummer for us as we usually have PP+.

We went in March and were seated outside. Really bad character interaction, I think we saw 5 and we had to hunt down a few just to get them to come see our table.

We've done this same breakfast twice before and the other two times were great.

We have eaten here twice - always the very first reservation of the day and we have awesome character interaction.

We saw Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Fairy Godmother, Chip, Dale, Pooh, Eeyore, Tiger and of course Minnie herself.

The food is fine, but it is served cafeteria style in that you get a tray and you go and get your food from servers, unlike a buffet. You also get your own drinks etc. It is the cheapest of all the Character Meals though because of this.

Thanks for the wonderful information. Def sounds like something we will do!

I went for my birthday in February. Food was good and the characters were great. I saw and got autographs from:
Cpt Hook (who signed on peter's page and X'ed out his face! LOL!)
Peter Pan (who exclaimed why Hook would do such an evil thing, and proceeded to sign around Hook's name)
Minnie, Chip & Dale, Tigger, Pooh, Eeyore, Max, Smee, Gideon, Rafiki...

I don't remember who else.. bad memory lol. but i had a lot of fun and it was a great experience. :) would so do it again for no reason in particular than to just have fun. :)

The food is good for buffet food imo. I'm not difficult to please, so Mickey waffles and strawberry syrup makes my entire day. I'm also a super big fan of the interactions the characters have. But I also spend hours waiting for all of the characters to come around multiple times.
