Plaza good or bad or try somewhere else?

Do you know about AllEars.net? Hit the Rates and Reviews icon once you go into it and look at the differnt reviews on all the places to eat at WDW. This was my guide when I picked.
If your looking for a great place at MK, I suggest eating at Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch. Mmmm yummy!

If you search for "The Plaza" using the search function or google "disboards the plaza" several things will pop up. There was a thread on here recently regarding the Plaza.

Some people think it is underrated.
Some people think it is overrated.

Personally, I wasn't impressed. I love sandwiches (what they specialize in there, as well as salads, soups, and sweets) and the club that I got was no better than anything I've gotten at a local diner. They tables are very close together and I didn't care for the atmosphere. The tables outside are really cute, so I'd definitely consider getting a sundae and eating outside, but I don't think I'll be going there for a meal any time soon.

The Plaza was ok for sandwiches and ice cream. I wouldnt order much more from there. We like Cosmic Rays or Liberty Tree Tavern. If you like buffet meals Crystal Palace is good too.

We liked it when we went. I forgot what I got but my DH had the meatloaf special and it was good. The service was so so. Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch is much better, I like it a lot and go every time we are in Disney. I haven't done dinner there, but that is family style, so its not the full menu.

Is they Plaza any good? Don't see many coments on it?

We enjoy the Plaza. We have tried it a couple times and always enjoyed it. There are some pictures on my signature if you would like to see some. I have had hit or miss servers but I think that is anywhere. The first try was a great server the second time while she was always right there with things she had a grumpy personality and the table next to us I over heard them say the same thing. I think it was just her, but that can happen anywhere and as long as she was on top of what she was doing and did not pretend we were not there I was ok with her grumpy.

We enjoyed our meal at the Plaza. The french fries were outstanding. One thing that wasn't outstanding was our service. Hopefully this isn't a pattern for the Plaza since we would like to try it again.

The Plaza is very good, the french fries are awesome

I liked the Plaza, the food was nice, had good service. However, it is not a dining experience, it is a pretty place in MK but the food is simple, and it is the cheapest table option because of it. it really is a sandwich and sundae kind of place.
Worked well for me before MNSSP, give it a go by all means, but think cute and small, basic, as oppose to dining experience

Yup, very basic place for sandwiches, salads, and ice cream. The food is good and fresh, but nothing very exciting.

The really good thing about this restaurant is it can be much easier to get in w/o a reservation, it's relatively quiet compare to most park restaurants, and the a/c is a godsend in the summer time.

Sandwiches were very good, but the service was not. We did have reservations and waited for 1 hour just to be seated. After we sat down at our table, I felt that we were pretty much ignored. We almost walked out, but after investing all of that time already I didn't want to do it. We only wanted sandwiches! Maybe we just went at the wrong time, but I'm really not ready to give it another chance just yet.

We just ate there on Saturday! Our server was Rasa and she was wonderful! I had the meat loaf special which was excellent, DD had a grilled cheese and my DH had the reuben--which he loved. We had EARLY reservations at 11ish (the monorail wasn't working so we were late--BUT they accomodated us and the CM greeters at the Plaza, who are college programmers were GREAT!). If you are going to the Plaza, go early in the day--I think was the way to go since by the time we left, there were quite a few people waiting outside in the heat. I love victorian-themed things so I really was into the whole decor and theming.

We did the Crystal Palace-thing a couple years back and, though we loved the characters, seriously, I can't do it again. The day we went it was a MAD HOUSE.

This trip, our first choice was Liberty Tree, but they were booked and so we went to the Plaza and weren't disappointed. One of our great memories on the trip! And my banana split was
