Does anyone know where to buy discounted codes or any coupon offers?

We have xbox 360, but I always thought Playstation was free? It isn't?

yes, the PSN is free. If you're talking about the PSN cards, those are for purchasing games, extras, movies, etc.... off the network. They are like gift cards and I don't know of any discounts except I get them for my kids at Target with my 5% off redcard purchases. But you don't need anything, but a free account to access online play with a PS3.

There are maps that you have to buy for certain games once you beat a level or something (sorry asking for DH since I know nothing about it).

Usually during the year the PSN points cards aren't on sale. Closer to Christmas Toys R Us usually will put them and the Playstation PLUS cards on sale. The Playstation PLUS membership has gotten us great discounts on DLC items and free games all year. It's paid for itself every year.
