Playing With Numbers - Rate Increases

I took a rough look at 2002 WDW resort rack rates vs. 2001 and it looks like they are fairly modest over recent years (2%-4% for the majority) but still increasing. I then took a look at DVC resort prices for the years that I have info. Of course, there are Value, Regular, Peak and Holiday rates and the differences vary for each. I thought others might be interested in taking a look at Regular and Holiday increase for a rough idea of what our membership means.

For OKW 1997 vs. 2002 For this same period OKW dues dropped from $3.1448 to $3.1271 or almost 1%.

If you don't mind my asking do you know what the 1 bedroom at BVW is in value season for this year? I'm trying to keep a list of what it would cost me in cash when I'm there, vs just my DVC points.

Hi Mary Anne -- The 1 Bedroom at BWV is $375 in Value Season ($385 for 2002). Of course, this has been a slow year at WDW and discounts are out there to bring this price down. However, for overall comparison, the rack rates are good figures. (And don't forget there is an additional 11% tax on all these rates.)
