Playhouse Disney

Well, my oldest son went channel surfing yesterday and found Playhouse Disney...I had no idea that we received that channel as part of our cable package.

So, not that we have this and about 30 days before our first trip...what are the important shows to watch in order to maximize their experience at WDW?

Playhouse Disney will only provide you with a fraction of what you see at Disney.
Playhouse Disney Theatre at Disney Hollywood Studios features a show on the most popular shows on that channel - those being Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, My Friends Tigger and Pooh, and possibly some more (these are the ones I have only heard about).
My Friends Tigger and Pooh Darby caharcter can be met in the Magic Kingdom at Pooh's Playful Spot in Fantasy land along with Pooh and Tigger.

The best thing we did to prepare for our trip was to watch Disney movies. We also discussed all the rides, based on the brochure and DVD planner we got from disney. My daughter was all set to go and knew more what to expect with character meet and greets, character meals and the rides. I was worried she would be scared of some of the rides and attractions, but it turns out her favorite was Haunted Mansion, even after we got stuck in the ride- track stopped and we were facing the opera singer in the graveyard with a pop up zombie like creature, popping up behind a tombstones every few seconds!

What we have done in preparation for past trip is make a movie chain. I printed off pictures from certian movies and made a countdown chain to our trip. Each day they pulled off the next loop and it was the movie we were going to watch that day. I planned them around our activities. We were staying at ASMo so we watched 101 Dalmations, Toy Story and Fantasia. We had meals planned with Winnie the Pooh and Lilo and Stitch so we watched those movies. We also new that we would be riding Nemo and Peter Pan so they went on the chain.

Movies are good too but with the new Verion of Playhouse Disney at DS, you might the above plus Little Enstiens. I think you can do a Character breakfast with them as well as JoJo.

We just saw the Playhouse Disney show and it is awesome!!! The only downside is you have to sit on the floor!! You should be there for the new parade which looks amazing!! Make sure you go into the animation attraction, you can often find characters here like The Incredibles and Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable. Very nice and quiet experience without long lines. Have Fun!!

I forgot to add than when I heard this channel was coming, I called Cogeco and asked about it and was told no plans to add it. Was channel surfer the next week and found it?
