Rolie Polie Olie & PB&J Otter!

My DS (3.5) used to love those shows. His first birthday was Rolie Polie Olie themed.

Even though the show I miss the most is still on in the very early morning, I have 2 that I miss watching with my DDs.
1) Bear in the Big Blue House
2) PB & J Otter
We used to watch PB & J together as a family, and we all miss it. We have alot of Bear on VHS.

DS likes Rolie but I've never been a fan. I did like PB&J Otter and Stanley, though. He's a big Wiggles fan, so that's good...though he hasn't watched it in a long time. He's more into the longer movies now.

I'm glad someone mentioned the Goodnight Show, though. We saw an episode recently and were sitting there saying how much we thought that guy sounded like Bear :rotfl: Is he not the current host? When we first started watching that show it was the British woman but now she's not on anymore :confused3

DS loves Charlie and Lola also...and I was sad to see Breakfast with Bear go, also. I loved the songs on that show and it was on at the perfect time for us, when we were getting up and ready.

I think it's a shame that so many of the older Disney Channel series dissapear after they stop making new ones. I realize that there are newer shows that fill up the space, but they could switch it up a little more. These aren't necessarily Playhouse Disney, but I wish they would show Chip and Dale RescueRangers, Tale Spin, Recess, Aladdin, and all of the older cartoons more.

My biggest question of all is why does Disney shut out the classics. Today's DC is excellent, filled with family friendly programming. Still, this programming lacks the longevity to make it to the parks. The popularity of the parks comes in part from the theming. I think that Disney has done a horrific job of indocrinating today's kids into classic Disney. All of the animated classics and of course, the classic Fabulous Five cartoons are nowhere to be found on TV! Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and House of Mouse are the only two shows where you get Mickey! The DC is great, but it should incorporate the classics.

Book of Pooh. DD loved those and DS will actually pause and watch the tapes that we have.

I miss PB&J Otter!!!

Me too!

We watch Noggin all the time now. Playhouse Disney just wasn't cutting it anymore. Now our favorites are Maggie and the Ferocious Beast, Max and Ruby and of course Little Bear!

And we have the Wiggles on DVD! ;)

We loved Out of the Box and PB&J Otter. Makes me sad that my younger dd doesn't get to watch some of the shows her big sister loved at her age. We don't have any of those on tape, but at least we have some of her old Nick favorites on tape, like Little Bill and Blue's Clue's with Steve.

They removed the first lady because she filmed an x rated skit online. Then they brought in the bear guy and now it is a new lady.

Disney came up with the Toon Disney channel and that is where they play all the older cartoons.

I know that--but they are seasonal. Those shows either come on once a week or every day for a couple of months. The movies they show on Toon Disney are rarely the classics.
And you can't watch the original, classic Fabulous Five cartoons without buying them.

I agree about Mickey's Clubhouse and House of Mouse. Love them!

Gotcha :thumbsup2 Thanks! It's been awhile since we've really watched it, as DS goes in phases, but we were curious what happened there.

I voted "Other" because McKenna liked several. I wish Out of the Box, PB & J, Rollie Pollie Ollie, and Bear were still on. Well, Bear is..saw him at 6:30 am. I was literally up all night..couldn't sleep. We Tivo Bear..so we still get our fix. McKenna likes most of the new ones, but it would be nice to have a little more variety. Here they show, MMCH 2-3x a day, Doodlebops 2-3x a day, Charlie & Lola (McKenna is Lola to a "T!!")2x, Handy Manny and they are repeat episodes.

We loved Breakfast with Bear!! My daughter started preschool last fall and we used to watch it every morning as we were getting ready and I really miss dancing the Morning Mambo with her this year. She's a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Little Einstein fanatic, but we all miss Bear too. We've got several of his dvds, but we loved the breakfast show the best.

And I really think they need to make more episodes of each show. If I see Daisy's Dance once more I might scream!

Bear In The Big Blue House.

It's still on on the weekends, but not like it was when DS6 was little. Thank goodness we have a ton, I mean A TON, of tapes & DVDs. We have quite a few of the others on tape and/or DVD too! Nice to not have to miss something too much.
