Playhouse Disney programming changes

Anyone other than me upset about the Playhouse Disney weekday morning programming changes? My DS4 is used to watching JoJo at 6, and Wiggles at 7, while I am getting ready for work. He doesn't seem to be interested in this Phineas & Ferb, and only tolerates Handy Manny. As for me I kindof like peeking in at the Wiggles myself! Took DS to concert in Nov, same week as my father in law died and it really did alot to lift both of our spirits. So now he's watching Dragon Tales on PBS at 6:30 and then we just shut the TV off. I sent an email on the Disney website, couldn't really find a specific area to comment on programming so I don't know if they will see it. I know they will change things after a number of years, I remember my DD12 enjoying Bear in the Big Blue House and Rollie Pollie Ollie when she was toddler age and those are long gone, but I was hoping it wouldn't happen again till after DS grew out of that age.

I always hated when they changed the program line-up with the kids were little. It really messed up our routine. :lmao: . I doubt they will change it back. These things are researched to death and as some shows change in popularity they get moved around.

I HATE the new line up! I generally have the tv on it the morning as the daycare kiddos come in to help with the morning transition time. I really do not like the early morning shows and either will turn on Nick Jr or PBS.

I forgot about Nick Jr., I'll have to check it out. I guess I could always throw a DVD in! We were happy this morning to see the Wiggles at 7 but I know that's just a weekend thing.

My kids hate the wiggles and Jo Jo. The only thing they watch on Disney in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or Winnie the Pooh

They watch mostly Sprout and Noggin

Oh noooooooooooooo..... I was wondering why Jojo hadn't taped in a week then saw this thread and checked our season pass manager and low and behold, no jojo. We have 8 episodes saved on our DVR - bummer. I guess we are going to need to phase Jojo out.

DS isn't into those shows anymore, but I also hated when they changed the lineup! That's how DS (and me!) would tell time in the mornings! He knew that he had to eat breakfast during one show, get dressed during another, and then we left after the 3rd one. LOL!

Look for the Noggin Channel.
My grandson also had his favorite shows that have been changed around. I found the Noggin Channel (it's 123 here in CT) and that is all he watches.
He loves Wow Wow Wubbsy, Diego, Dora, Little Bill, and Backyardigans. those shows are on alot on the Noggin channel.
They also have "commercials" that are educational, teaces numbers, colors, and memory, with an owl and moose.
When we took our driving trip to WDW in November I taped Noggin channel on 2 vcr tapes. (I have an old vcr player for the car) He had 12 hours of tapes and he watched them twice each and never tired of them. We tried to get him to watch a movie or two but he just wanted his Noggin channel.
HE hates riding in the car but between sleeping and his Noggin he was quiet the entire 18 hour trip.

Nick Jr. doesn't start in the morning until 8:30am. I watch Full House at 6:00am when I'm getting ready for work and then at 6:30am is The Fairly Oddparents and then I think SpongeBob until 8:30..

Yes, Stanley was a good one, and DS liked the "short" of Baby that hasn't been on in awhile (of course he was pretty much a baby when that was on). One that I won't miss is the Doodlebopps, it creeps me out, funny how we do like JoJo but not the Doodlebopps, maybe since JoJo is animated the whole clown thing seems more plausible with it.

Our main problem with the new lineup is that Imagination Movers is one long show, not two segments. We'd only watch the first Johnny and the Sprites and then we left the house. My kids like Phineas and Ferb, but again it's a different timing of the show. I miss the monkeys.

I'm still upset that Bear in the Big Blue House is gone.:confused3

Me too! And "Out of the Box" & Stanley too.

And I don't even have kids--but I used to watch those shows with my now 10 yr old niece when she'd come to visit. They bring back happy memories.

My ds's got all of the DVD's for Christmas....we have been having a blast watching them. Brings back memories of when dd was little!

Another thing about this that kind of skeeved me: on our DVR, the programs still say "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" or whatever....but when I go to play it, it's actually ANOTHER show!

Try explaining THAT to a 2yo. :sad2: :headache:

Yes, Bear and Out of the Box bring back memories for us too. Our kids loved those shows. And Rolly Polly Ollie. I can still remember the theme song. "Way up high, in the Rolly Polly sky...":)

Oh nuts! I wasn't aware of the change. Our DDs really liked Jo Jo. They're not big Handy Manny fans either. Hmm. Guess it'll be more Noggin in the AM as Nick Jr isn't on then.

I miss PB&J Otter. Heck I was in college when it came on. I watched it becuase it was so cute. DH even let me name the river otters in our backyard stream PB&J :rotfl:

We miss Stanely!!

We do too!

PP who was getting another show instead of Mickey's Clubhouse - you'll need to set it for (I think) DISNEY'S Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I just realized that one myself the end of last week. I wondered why I wasn't getting any new episodes....

Sorry to hear that JoJo is gone, although my kids had stopped asking for her.

DS5 isn't into JoJo like he used to be, but he's totally into Phinneas & Ferb and Handy Manny. (Which I keep calling Handy Mandy. lol) But I agree that the continual lineup changes do get a little annoying. And my wife and I both miss Bear, especially the Good Bye Song with Luna. :guilty:

I miss this show also. One of my best memories of WDW is watching my oldest son (then 4) on his first visit to WDW, slowly swaying and singing to the closing song of Bear in The Big Blue House at Playhouse Disney in MGM.

I have it on video and watch it from time to time. It is a precious memory.

"Good niiiiiiight my friends.....my friends good niiiiigth....untiiiiiil...we...meeeeet.......agaaaaaaain......"

These classic shows live on in DVD though......we have most of them.....

Stanley
P B & J Otter
Out of the Box
Rolie Polie Olie
The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Good times.
