Playhouse Dinsey Live is coming to our area and I was wondering if it is the same script as the one at the park? Not that my girls would mind as we always watch it while at WDW or DL. How long do you think it is?

Thanks.

No.............it is totally different. We went to the LIVE version yesterday and had a good time.

It's different. WAAAAY more going on, many fewer puppets. It's mostly live action, although I'm pretty sure they lipsynch the whole thing.

When we went, it was a 2 hour-ish activity, and my then almost 3-year-old was SO excited. I would do it again in a heartbeat. In fact, because PH Disney was so good, I decided to take DD to Dora Live next month.

Watch out for the souveniers, though. They're even more than at the park!

We went in December. The show is about 90 minutes including intermission. It was a lot of fun and very worth it, IMO. It is a different storyline than the Playhouse Disney in the parks.

Thanks for the responses! We are very excited to be going to the show, we're also thinking about seeing Disney on Ice the week before.

Just FYI, We took my 3 year old to this last year and was not really impressed. The show was cute but the characters were actually people dressed up like the characters but without the large plastic heads. When I had told my daughter "Look it's Handy Manny!" She said "no it's not, that is just some guy". Mickey and Minnie were dressed in costumes of course but overall the show was just OK. Can't say I would go again. I guess being a DISNEY FREAK my expectations were a little high.:sad2:

Yeah, this might be an issue. All the human characters (Einsteins, Darby, Handy Manny) are played by people. Their voices were good enough for DD to believe it was really them, though. But you do have to dial down your expectations a bit, it's not as exciting as actually going to Disneyworld.

I completely agree with this post. I was just going to share my experience in taking my 2 year old niece, but this post pretty much says it all! She enjoyed seeing Mickey and the gang, but I dont think she realized who all the other characters would be. When the little einsteins came out in that red spaceship thing that they drive in (drawing a blank here) she got so excited to see the red spaceship thing, but i dont think she realized the people were actually the little einsteins. If you have older children I'm sure they would pick up on it. My niece enjoyed Playhouse Disney Live at HS much more, because the characters actually LOOKED like the characters she knows and loves from the show!
