Playhouse Disney becoming Disney Junior?

Looks like Playhouse Disney is being rebranded to Disney Junior. How will this affect Playhouse Disney Live! at DHS?

I sure hope they don't get rid of a lot of the shows on TV ... I'm sure many parents of toddlers share my love (or at least appreciation) for something like the Little Einsteins. and the playhouse disney live show was brilliant in how it brought together all of the hits and characters from the playhouse disney lineup.

and ... what really is behind this rebranding?? is it to be in direct competition with Nick Jr??

Playhouse Disney is already closed at Hollywood Studios and California Adventure and will reopen with the Disney Junior brand. Scheduled reopen dates are 3/6 (DHS) and 3/25 (DCA).

I heard they were keeping Little Einstein's. The new show Jake and the Neverland Pirates my boys are excited about and they are 7 and 10 years old

Playhouse Disney has gone through many changes in the past 10 years since I started watching it (or my kids ) PB&J Otter was my DS first fave show followed by Bear in the Big Blue House and JoJos Circus and Rollie Pollie Ollie so they have gotten rid of a lot of good shows. (Oh and the Wiggles for a brief period too)

I am excited about this and so will my students who recently wrote letters to Disney as a persuasive writing assignment. They hated Playhouse Disney and I think the new line-up on Disney Junior is going to be a happy medium.

And Kim, I'm also bursting at the seems to see the new pirates show. :X
