Playhouse Disney & Aladdin Questions

What is the duration of the show for Playhouse Disney and Aladdin? Are tickets given out or do you have to get there early and wait in line to get a seat? Are either show loud and likely to scare a baby?

I know my 3 yr old would love both shows but just wondering if his little sister would enjoy it too

No tickets are given for either show. Aladdin is about 45 minutes (occasionally longer--Genie dependent). I don't know about Playhouse Disney as I've never seen it. Aladdin does have several loud and potentially scary moments. Don't sit up front if you want to avoid scary stuff. Plus the show is best from further back.

We watched Playhouse Disney with no problems last year with my 6, 4, and 10 mo. old. Aladdin was a different story. It's like a broadway show, quiet theater, etc. and my 10 mo. old only lasted halfway through before she was too loud and I took her out. I'd recommend sitting where you can make a quick and easy escape if needed.

I think we got to Playhouse Disney 10-15 min. early and Aladdin 20-25 min. early.

The actual length of Playhouse DIsney is about 20 minutes. BUt, it's fast because the kids get to dance and run to the front -- it's high energy. I'm basing this on the one at WDW but I think they're the same. Aimed at preshool age, and since there is a large Bear in the Blue House and lots of puppets that are bright colours, I'm sure your baby will love it too. You do have to sit on the ground though.

We've seen Alladin about 10 times now and my DD6 loves it (so do I). But, as previously mentioned, there are some scary moments. DO NOT SIT in the front area on the left side (facing the stage) as that is where a huge snake appears. Could be very scary for the young.

It is a beautifully done production, and the Genie has some very funny (and topical) lines! Nothing seems off limits.

Also another tip-if your little ones need to use the restroom during the show you won't be allowed back in. As stated, the show runs about 45 minutes so a "before show" potty break is highly recommended! On one of our visits, my DD and I had to make a run for the nearest bathroom and we barely made it back before the show started.

We went to Playhouse Disney at DL. Maybe it's because we don't watch the show or something, but DD was not really into it. Most everyone sits on the floor, although I think there were some benches at the back of the room. It's usually OK, except when some of the older kids make their way up front to stand and watch, and block the view of those sitting down. We'd probably skip this next time around, unless DD is really into the show at that time.

So your saying balcony is better for Aladdin? How long would you wait inline for the Aladdin show before it starts to get a good seat? I am going with my mum, just the 2 of us. So for 2 adults who want a fun show, what would you recommend?

I dont think I would ever want to sit in the balcony section but on the main floor if you sit farther back its really good

The last update I got on the Aladdin show was .... dark until Oct 1st ..... anyone got an update please...... I really ,really want to see it ,even paid extra for preferred seating$$$ no Snow Whie either BUMMER!!!!! Give me hope!

Sorry, but Aladdin is dark for recasting and they need to do some technical work on some of the set pieces and special effects.

Say it isn't so!!!! We went to DL for the first time this summer and loved Aladdin. We are going back this week and were looking forward to seeing it again. It's such a great show. We told our friends going with us all about it and now they are all hopped up, too.
