Playground in Fort McMurray, Alberta...HAHA with pics!

Playground in Fort McMurray (Northern Alberta).
Some people build swimming pools in their back yards,
but outdoor pools in Fort McMurray just won't work.
Since this particular family lives on the outskirts of Fort McMurray , they decided to build a sturdy, colorful playground for their 3- and 4-year-old sons, with smooth-stone gravel all around it to avoid knee scrapes and other injuries. They finished building it on Saturday evening, and the following morning, as Mom was about to wake the boys and let them go out to play in their new play centre, this is what she saw from the upstairs window.

That is way too funny and cute at the sametime. I wonder what the boys thought LOL WHY are those bears playing on our new playground LoL

cute, but at the same time dangerous. How can you trust that your kids will be safe now? I guess putting a fence around might dter, but the bears will get through or over that too.

Cute pictures. I live in Fort McMurray and most people who live here have had some kind of animal encounter. We live in the middle of a great Boreal forest and there are a lot of green spaces in the city where the animals sometimes come to visit. We have come across deer, moose, bears, coyotes, and foxes. I have not heard of anyone being attacked by animals (although I have heard of some people doing some pretty fast running ). My son and I had a bear run across the road in front of us just a couple of weeks ago and a group of bears has made one of the local golf courses and the area around it their home. As my husband says, there are some golf balls you just don't go looking for. A few times he has come back to his golf cart to find a fox sitting in the seat. We love living here and enjoy nature and the wildlife we see.
