Playa Mia at cozumel

I'm debating over if I should buy day passes and pay for drinks individually or get the day pass + buffet + drinks. I heard the buffet food is bad and I should order from the restaurant. However, I can't seem to find the price of the drinks at Playa Mia to compare if it's worth it for me to pay everything separately. Help!!!

We buy the day pass with food and drinks at Playa Mia. The food is definitely NOT fantastic, but the drinks certainly make up for it. And the pools and beach are really good too.
Honestly, I would just buy the package with transportation included and pick and choose from the buffet. The roast chicken was pretty good now that I think about it. And the yellow rice too.

I've visited Playa Mia twice, booking through the DCL port adventures. My family thinks the buffet is good -- it's nothing special, but we've liked it just fine to visit more than once.

We like the excursion because it's a fairly short bus ride, the grounds are nice, the beach is great, there's a large pool and splash area, and the bathrooms/changing areas are clean and modern. The DCL package including the food and open bar makes it one we've enjoyed.
