Can anyone tell me more about this breakfast? I know the characters are listed as June & Leo, JoJo and Goliath and that there are some 'favorite playhouse disney songs' involved. Does anyone know if the songs they do are strictly from these two shows or if they do thinkgs like the Hot Dog song from Mickey Mouse Club House and Tigger and Pooh or anything? (We did the PHDis show over in Animation Courtyard and DS loved it! Definitely going back to that.) I was planning to skip this character meal because DS probably doesn't remember JoJo anymore (was only on for about a month when he was about 1) but if they do some other music he recognizes I think he'd enjoy it.

Feedback?
(PS - I know some say the food is bad. I'm not overly concerned about that right now. Just wondering about the entertainment factor).

I know you said you weren't concerned about the food - but we found it to be just fine. I guess like anywhere else, you can have bad days. But they had a lot of variety and everyone in our group found something they liked.

I don't remember all the songs, sorry. But I know for sure they sang the Hot Dog Dance. That was my DDs favorite song. They invite the kids to parade around the resteraunt while the song is playing & to sing along. It was really cute watching the smaller kids dance to that song. . .

If you go, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

We went for lunch and I remember them playing songs from several different Playhouse Disney Shows. I know they played the 'hot Dog" song from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. There was a DJ playing the songs and leading the activities for the children to get up and dance. I would think the food would be better at breakfast, the food at lunch was not so good. Very Fun and worth it if you have young kids!

Just be prepared for the loud factor. I love Playhouse Disney and I love character dining....but Hollywood and Vine was too much even for me. They play lots of the fun Playhouse Disney songs and when we were there it was Jojo, Goliath, and 2 of the Little Einsteins. I love it, but my nerves were really frayed about 15 mins into the dining experience.

We've gone twice and they did the hot dog song (I don't recall if there were any pooh songs) it was fun, the kids can get up and dance. We had fun!

I don't think there were any Pooh songs. There was definitely Happy Birthday sung once or twice.

My daughter didn't know Jo Jo and Goliath at all so I rented the DVD's about a month before. I have blockbuster.com and they have them, I am sure netflix probably does as well. I definitely wanted to take her just to see Leo and June but it really helped that she knew who Jo Jo and Goliath were as well. I figured if I was paying that much money then she better at least know who they were!

Son's old enough (4) that he knows JoJo and Goliath and loves the Little Einsteins - but it would be wonderful if they get around to updating the characters (Phineas and Ferb anyone?).

For the Playhouse Disney age group they do have good choices. Agent Oso would be a good one, or even the other 2 Einsteins for that matter. Handy Manny. They do have a lot of great choices, it would be nice if they updated to characters children are currently watching.

I agree. I wish they took Jo Jo and Goliath out because that show's not even on TV any more. We're going next week especially for my 2 year old and he's never even seen the show. He would love Handy Manny.

Handy Manny is now part of the Playhouse Disney attraction @ DHS. A natural progression would lead him to Hollywood & Vine. Only negative is the fact that he is a single charcater who may not be popular enough to be a draw.

As prior posters mentioned, they do other Playhouse disney songs, such as the Hot Dog song.

Our DS has outgrown it, but this was probably one of our favorite character meals. The food was decent, service was good, and between the characters and the CMs who led the songs, it was a lot of fun.

I completely agree about updating the characters. Not just for this meal but for DHS in general. They have really strong playhose dis characters right now that I think have become successful enough - handy manny, OSO (won't be surprised to see him soon), phineas and ferb, even the imagination movers. What an addition to epcot imagination pavillion! (Addition not replacement).

Thanks everyone so much for sharing your experiences. We are definitely going to do this!

We ate lunch at H&V in May and we were pleasantly surprised. Maybe it was just a result of my expectations since I heard such bad things about the on the DIS. I thought they had a lot of food offerings and everyone in my group got something they liked. (My mom is a very adventurous eater and my DH is not.) The kids really enjoyed meeting the characters and enjoyed dancing. We also tried to eat lunch as early as possible, thinking that the food would be fresher.

I do think they should replace Jojo and Goliath (even though I love them...it was on when I took my kids, they loved them) but not with Phineas and Ferb. They're not Playhouse Disney characters. I like the suggestions from PPs but also what about Darby, or even Pooh, Tigger or Mickey? I know they are in other places, but those are major shows on Playhouse Disney.
