Play Kitchens?

I found one at Toys R Us that is by "Just like Home" it is wood, but I think it's pressed wood. I have a friend who has it, and she says it's great quality and has held up for her children well over the year. She bought it last Christmas. Also, this brand has some really nice "real" looking accesories. I hate the plastic stuff that doesn't even look like something real.

Our local TRU doesn't have it in yet, they just have the model on display. They think it retails for $100. It's not available online yet.

I am going to check out the costco model to ... I like the JLH model b/c only the fridge is pink, and just in case I ever have a son ...

Ladies....a little free advice. Children outgrow their toys. Invest that $700 into their college funds. go with the little tykes brands.

I'm not trying to be rude but I wouldn't be considering a $700 toy if college wasn't taken care of.

Ok, can you share with us how you saved the cash for college? Now that i would love to know!! ;) I am scared for when dd goes to college..

I have two boys and a girl and would you believe that my boys wanted a play kitchen? Well, we found a wood kitchen from Target that is navy blue and red. My boys can be pretty rough with their toys and the kitchen has held up amazingly well in the last year. The kitchen was just under $100 and includes a sink, stove, and oven along with some cooking utensils and a metal frying pan and baking sheet.
Good luck with your play kitchen search!

We just bought the Play Wonder kitchen from Target in August for our DS and DD. It is a colonial blue color, wooden, and looks really nice. Both our kids love it. I loved the price, it was 99.99 when we bought it, and it doesn't scream "ugly cheap plastic kid toy". It has held up great so far (you might not think that this is impressive, but you have not yet met DS2:laughing: ).
