I'm hoping I misread this but I thought I read that once we become Platinum Castaway members we get a free Palo dinner but it's just per stateroom so just for one person?? So that person has to eat alone? Lol.

I only see the complimentary dinner listed under Platinum.

Sorry. I meant to type Platinum. You are correct. But my point is that they don't give a free dinner per person. Just for one person?

"Available to Platinum Castaway member and Guests staying in member's stateroom. Must be 18 years of age or older. Subject to availability"

That would indicate that it is gifted to anyone in your stateroom. I would assume you would have to go with them though.

But if they are not in your stateroom, no dice.

But both my husband and I will be platinum at the same time so will we both get a free dinner each?

Yes. We had four in our stateroom this past cruise in January and Palo was comped for all 4.

No I am asking if everyone in our stateroom who is already platinum get a free dinner or is it just one free dinner for one person. For example they only leave one gift per stateroom regardless of how many people are in there. So only one totebag

It doesn't really matter.

They make it clear in the fine print that it is for the platinum member and guests staying in the stateroom. If only one of you is platinum, you can go together and get the free meal - the wording indicates ALL in the stateroom with the platinum member gets the meal free. If both of you are platinum you STILL get the one dinner comped.

I'm pretty sure that you cannot go twice for free even if both in the stateroom are platinum - which I think is what you're really asking without coming out and saying it. The only way I know of to cheat that system would be for you to book in separate cabins and not link the reservations. But then only those in the stateroom would get the free meal, so no...that wouldn't work either.

If one person in the room is Platinum, all adults in that same room will be comped a free meal(regardless of what their status is). If two people in the same room are Platinum, then there is still only one meal comped for the room (for all adult occupants).

Thank you for saying it much more clearly than I did.

The more the OP asked, the clearer it seemed to be that they were thinking they could get more than one time at Palo for free.

I saw we said the same thing :teeth: Between both our answers, maybe OP will get it.

We made a reservation before we left home. That reservation was used for the free dinner for the three of us. My daughter is platinum too but she is only 16 so couldn't go with us. They treated her like a princess at our regular table that night...lol

This was our first trip as Platinum. We got Number one boarding with out doing anything.

A choice of three things...fruit tray, Sparkling wine or a box of 5 truffles. They called us the first day asking which one we wanted.

Three free yellow bingo cards , could use it at all bingo games but the last big Bingo Game

10% off at the stores , not Castaway Cay though. Always had to remind them though since I don't wear the lanyard . It is right on the card though.

I did notice that we all got the same beach bag this time , no different colours ...it was part burlap. I got two travel mugs inside too that was it.

If a stateroom has a Platinum member in it, any other adult in the same stateroom who is not Platinum still gets comped a Palo dinner.

So, no, you don't have to eat alone at Palo. You can bring your cabin-mates for free, regardless of their CC level.

If a child is platinum and can't go to Palo, does DCL offer them a different gift?

No. What I was asking was if my husband and I both go to Palo together and we are both platinum do we both get comped or only one of us gets comped and we have to pay for the second person. Because when we go to our staterooms even though everyone in our family has been on multiple cruises there is only one gift on the bed to share rather than one for each person. I'm not asking if we can cheat any system or go multiple times.

Well, it's sorta like the "one gift per room" regardless of how many CC members are in the room. You get one dinner for all adult guests in that room, regardless if 1, 2, or all of them are Platinum.
