Hey all,

I’m looking forward to booking our March break 2021 cruise on Monday. The group will be me, DW and DS - all Platinum CC - and my FiL and MiL - both first-time cruisers. We want to book our usual 1BR and the connecting Cat V for them.

I believe I need to put one of us in their room to be able to book it on Platinum day. Can a platinum minor be added to a booking to book on the first day ? Do you think there’s an advantage to put my wife instead of my son as the 3rd guest in their room ?

The disadvantage of listing your son in the other room is that you will not be allowed to take him off of the ship without your FIL/MIL permission.

And he'll have to attend muster for the room he's registered in (it could be different).

Thanks both for your responses. I’m well aware of those situations, but I was thinking more in financial/booking terms. I’m guessing a third guest in the CatV would cost less than in the 1BR but I’m not sure. Also, since he doesn’t have an account, can I book both rooms and place him in the second one from my account ?

We have booked our Son with grandparents and with Aunt/cousins to get his platinum booking window and never had issues.

Always get privileges for the whole family to disembark with the kids. That way whoever and whenever, especially when the cousins wanted to play together. Also it has never been an issue re-arranging back during or right after check in at the port.
