Platinum APs NOT Available For Sale...sorry!

Chip & Company is reporting that UK residents can now purchase platinum APs.

I followed the link in the article and was able to add one (with DVC discount) to my cart. The price was in $US ($957.44 with tax). FYI, I live in the US.

I didn't go thru with the purchase but perhaps this could help some of you who have been waiting to purchase.

I just tried to go thru with a purchase and got Stitch. But it looks promising that APs are being offered to UK resident and they have a price populated in US dollars on the website. Maybe they’re preparing to open up sales in the US soon.

Unfortunately not It lets you add to basket, put in card details and click purchase but it won't process the transaction. I just get Woody with 'please wait while we complete your request'. It's been showing APs for a few weeks now. I had hoped it had been updated and you can now check out but alas no.

I've had a gold AP in my cart for over 6 months. I try every few days to purchase but nope.

Update: It looks like Stitch is up to his old tricks again. Unfortunately UK residents are not able to purchase Annual Passes at this time.

Disney shared with us this official annoucement.(sic)


This web page is out-of-date and we are working on updating it. Sales of new annual passes remain temporarily paused as part of our overall efforts to manage capacity with a focus on health and safety. With reduced attendance limits, we are continuing to focus on existing Passholders for the time being

It's been up / this way all along since before the shutdown, so I don't think it's a sign of anything. When they first closed AP sales, I tried to use this work-around to get them in the Europe, because I literally had added the APs for my husband and kids (I already had one) to my shopping cart, then got distracted by things at work, completely forgot to finish the purchase, and then the next day, AP sales were shut down.

Did anyone in Europe actually buy one. I heard they could put it in their cart, but could not actually buy it. It would let you get to payment page and get eaten by Stich.
