hi! We will be embarking on our first cruise as platinum guests. I’m a little confused about how the free Palo dinner/brunch works. Do both my husband and I get the dinner for free or just one of us? Can we get a free brunch and a free dinner or do we have to choose? I assume if it’s just one, we can pay for the dinner on another night, if we choose to use our free pass on brunch. Thanks for the info!

As noted above you both get 1 complimentary Palo experience per cruise. And yes, if you choose brunch you can pay for dinner.
We usually do both lunch and dinner at Palo. In our experience, the complimentary meals are credited to your bill for whichever meal occurs first during your cruise.

Is it only Palo or is there a credit toward Remy? Also, if there are 3 adults in the stateroom (18yo daughter), will there be credits for all 3 people?

The perk is for one meal (although the information page indicates is for dinner, it has been applied to brunch also - whichever you do first). The meal is for the Platinum level guest and all others in their room that qualify (18 and over).

Only for Palo.

If there are two guests in the same room with the same (Platinum) level it's only one meal between them. You can't "take" him to dinner, and he "take" you to brunch and both get the free meal (so two free meals).

From the letter we received in our room "All Guests 18 years of age and older staying in a single stateroom with Platinum Castaway Club Guests may enjoy the complimentary Palo dining experience". It does not specify dinner or brunch. With that said, we were denied using it for Brunch once, on the Wonder in 2014. We haven't had an issue in the 4 or 5 times we have used it since then (or a few times before it).

I was referring to the information page on the DCL website:

  • ***Offer includes dining service fee for one dinner, for Platinum Castaway Club member and Guests staying in member's stateroom who are 18 years of age or older. Subject to availability. Limited to one complimentary experience per stateroom, per sailing.

We were denied for brunch once several years ago, also, but that hasn't happened recently.

last few cruises, they have taken the platinum meal for either dinner or brunch - whichever one was done first.
