Plastic Cutlery in Studios - Why?

I usually bring a few glad plastic containers for storage and to use as cereal bowls.

5 pages of threads regarding plastic cutlery, hum! Interesting! I very seldomly stay in studios, if I do it's because I intend on doing no cooking or eating in the room. I've read many threads about families who cook extensive meals in the studios, they must have to bring every thing with them. Fine if you drive in, but to pack your suitcase!

You can't cut didlely squat w/ a plastic knife!

We are similar, we do not wish to cook extensively in the room, we're on holiday, and cooking is not how we wish to spend our valuable time!

It would be nice though for breakfast, to have a piece of toast with butter which has not been hacked off the pack because the plastic knife snaps if you try to scrape the butter as you would a metal knife.

To look forward to a little snack late in the evening and having to open a pack of cheese with your teeth because the knives are only good cutting through nothing tougher than a grape or wilted lettuce.

That's what do. They double as a container for making mac n cheese and for reheating stuff.

I think it would be kind of gross if you didn't have a dishwasher to have real cutlery.

I have just had a phone call from Member Services, they discussed my issue and were understanding, especually about the fact that the knives are not sturdy enough to cut through butter and cheese and will be reporting back to discuss the issues. I wont be holding my breath though

Maybe they can come up with something that will not be very expensive to everyone and meet yours and others needs.
