Plastic AP

How can I get a plastic AP? I just renewed mine, and it seems like they will not be sending me a new one. Mine's still paper. I don't want to haul around a paper one for another year. For some reason, they didn't advertise that they were exchanging paper for plastic when we were there in July, and they weren't doing it yet last March.

They all told me yes which is why I think you should have no problem switching out your old pass at any of the 5 hotels. I happened to be done when the plastic pass was released so I got mine in the park at the special areas that were set up.

It's not a big deal. I can ask when we check in. If the hotel doesn't have it, I will just hit up GS while in the park or at City Walk. It sounds like the City Walk one will be near us, since we will be staying at RPR. We won't be going until Memorial Day weekend anyway.

I just called, I had another question for them anyway. As long as you are not on flexpay they will swap you out at any of the resorts. You are good to go.

Do you have to be present to swap them out? I ask because my wife is going on a cruise beginning next weekend, so our son and I are going to sneak down to Universal for 2 1/2 days. We'll swap ours over to a plastic one while there. Just wondering if we can carry the wife's too, and do the swap without her being there or not.

You can get the APs at the hotel tickets desk. You can get your tickets from the kiosk at the hotel.
