Does anyone know of a place that plants trees in someone memory.

I know of someone who's grandchild died suddenly. I thought that would be a nice thing to do.

If the child has a plot, maybe at the cemetery, or a park in the town of the child? At the childs school?

I was looking to find a service that someone might have personally used. I am not sure if the place I googled really plant it or just take the money.

I understand..... it is a nice idea.. i hope someone who has done it posts!

if not the other idea of planting locally is a nice one...

My grandparents (on my mom's side), before they were gone each planted a tree in my parents' yard. They did it for that purpose, they said when you all look at those two trees, think of us.

My friend who lost her daughter in March, well I was thinking about getting her one. I think it would be nice to look out the window and see "Megan's Tree". I just don't know when to give it to her. Megan's birthday would have been yesterday, but I hadn't ordered it. Maybe on the first anniversary of her death? I don't know, but I think it's a lovely idea.

As far as a service, I think it would be nice to create your own. Invite family and friends, the preacher if that's relevant.
