Planting in someone's memory

Does anyone know of a place that plants trees in someone memory.

I know of someone who's grandchild died suddenly. I thought that would be a nice thing to do.

If the child has a plot, maybe at the cemetery, or a park in the town of the child? At the childs school?

I don't know if this has any relevance to you or the family of the poor child, but you can plant a tree in Israel in memory of or in honor of a loved one. http://www.jnf.org/support/tree-planting-center/

We send the actual tree and they are well recieved. I got one when my mom passed and I love it, it makes me smile. I have used this company and was very pleassed.

Both my mother and myself have trees in our yard that were sent by a friend of the family from the above service when my Grandfather died.

My grandparents (on my mom's side), before they were gone each planted a tree in my parents' yard. They did it for that purpose, they said when you all look at those two trees, think of us.

My friend who lost her daughter in March, well I was thinking about getting her one. I think it would be nice to look out the window and see "Megan's Tree". I just don't know when to give it to her. Megan's birthday would have been yesterday, but I hadn't ordered it. Maybe on the first anniversary of her death? I don't know, but I think it's a lovely idea.

As far as a service, I think it would be nice to create your own. Invite family and friends, the preacher if that's relevant.
