Hi,
We are a family of four (teenage boys) and heading to Disney the week of Aug 20. Right now we are flexible with our days but thinking we will do animal kingdom in the morning and MK in afternoon. The second day we are going to do HS and if time and energy allow, we will venture to Epcot, but not for sure. We are purchasing the genie plus and ILL. We plan on going to the park close to opening as we can. I would love suggestions on where we should go first….a touring plan. We like thrill rides, virtual and nostalgic rides, we are really open to everything. I would love your suggestions. Thanks

Have you been to Disney before? Guessing you have 2 day hopper tickets?

What are your top priorities as 2 days will allow you to hit highlights in each park and leave other things for another visit.

You have the option to hit the more popular attractions such as Expedition Everest (AK), Space Mtn and Big Thunder Mtn (MK), Slinky Dog Dash, Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run, Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller Coastet (DHS) although if unable to secure G+ they will have longer waits.

In your AK/MK day you will need to choose which ILL$ to purchase as between those 2 parks there are 3 ILL$ attractions and guests are limited to purchasing 2. You may also wish to try for a VQ for Tron.

At the park you are hopping to, ensure you choose an ILL$ time after 2 PM.

One tip is if MK is your second park of the day, ensure you do not choose a MNSSHP day as the MK closes at 6PM those days.

So I also have teens that love thrill rides and their faves are Expedition Everest, Guardians of the Galaxy, Space Mountain, Tron, Rockin Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror; those are my favorites too. I didn't think I was going to like Tron and Guardians as much as I did but they're both really really fun. Non thrill rides that we really like are Rise, BTMR, Little Mermaid, Soarin, Pirates, Remy and MMRR. I think it's smart to do AK early since the park usually closes by 7pm. We just were there last week and did 3 park days and did mid AM to before closing, no hopping. We've seen all the evening shows/fireworks so it's not like we missed anything but it's just our speed to leave before EVERYONE is exiting the park and we have to wait on a bus to the resort. Just keep in mind it's hot & rainy so as long as ya'll take breaks, you should be fine.
