Plans for pirate night

What About the Pirate Night?
We are planning our first DCL cruise in Sept. We want the full effect of the cruise and would like to know more about the night. When does it start, what is involved, who usually attends etc. Just how dressed up and into the theme are people getting? We will have our DD7 and our DS9 what activities will they be able to do on night?

HI, it starts at supper. The menu is in a "pirate theme" and you are given bandanas to wear, your servers have a ball with this. A lot of people were dressed up, mostly children, but some families went all out, and they looked fantastic. This was our favorite night, and we were so glad for this addition.

The Pirate deck party started at 9:30 or 9:45 pm, and there was plenty of pirates there, and after there was a buffet. There is also fireworks were most recently added. They sell all kinds of glow in the dark bracelets and such for the kids... Captain Hook shows up later in the party....

I am sure I am leaving out some details, but others will help out here...

What About the Pirate Night?
Just how dressed up and into the theme are people getting?

Our cruise is still 4 months away and my DW & I are trying to figure out costumes for all of us. We are thinking "Wendy" for our older DD and "Tinkerbelle" for the younger. Haven't decide what we will wear, but know it will be some sort of costume. Arrggh!!

Is "Pirate Night" only on the longer cruises? We have a 3 day booked at the end of the month.
