sorry I've been MIA, a lot has been going on.

1) DBF and I broke up....

2) I had my knee surgery yesterday.

Mandy, I'm glad to hear you got an iPod nano! DBF (well exDBF now) gave me his old touch right before we broke up, but insisted I kept it....

And the snow in texas! Awesome!

Yeah, I'm doing okay on both accounts. Knee is a little sore, but that's expected. And if things were meant to be with him, it'll work out in the end.

So I was looking at the JCPenny website for dresses for our company Holiday party and found this...on sale for $80!!! OMG I want it, but everyone here says it's bad luck

Hey all... well I got my Christmas present last night.... actually DBF and I went together to get it but he picked it out.... he knew he wanted to get me a ring but wanted me to be there to tell him I liked it... I told him I would like anything he got me but he still asked me to go ..... so we went out last night and looked at 5 different rings and then I asked DBF if I could go look at engagement rings and he said I can look at whatever I want, so I went over and showed him what I liked... and then he saw a solitaire and asked to see that and I told him that they were engagement rings but only if he asked me and if he wanted to buy it he would just have to specify what it meant... so he bought it , I was and still am so excited... he was so loving and when we were checking out he told said " you deserve it and I love you very much" I was at a loss for words.... so I told him I didn't want it until Christmas but he insisted I open it today... he wanted me to wear it, so when he out it on me he said it was a promise ring.... it is absolutely beautiful... he did great .....

Anyone else get moody when friends get enaged? My bf not only got engaged without telling me he was going to do it, but they have been dating just as long as dbf and I...PLUS his divorce paperwork isn't final.

Really I am happy for them and I like her a lot (which is a first) it just makes me moody. And dbf just says it will happen someday...when the time is right. All he talks about is us getting married but now it's someday...he tells me he's ready but in the same breath says it's too early and not to worry.

Thanks for letting me vent, it's gonna be a crappy day. My jeans are fitting a bit snug and I am miserable. Got any chocolate?

So Merry Christmas Eve! What are everyone's plans today for Christmas Eve?

We decided that since I'm on a crutch (got down to one though!) and my older sister can't handle crowds so well, we ordered Olive Garden to go, and it'll be ready around 6/6:30. Then, my friend Rick is going to come over and join us for dinner.

After dinner, we are decorating a Gingerbread house and some Gingerbread men, then Alli (my little sister) will get ready for Santa. She is so excited!

we're getting ready to head down to my parents' house in a little while...it's about an hour and half drive and the roads are too busy at all, so it shouldn't be bad. making sure to leave plenty of comfort food for my kitty as he hates to be alone for any period in time and we won't be back until tomorrow afternoon!

just got done making brownies for my dad...I usually just make him sweets for christmas each year as he never really wants anything and is hard to buy for. I love to bake, so it works out!!!
