Merry Christmas everyone! Just got home from my sister's house. I gave DBF all his Disney gifts, he loved them, especially the carved ring with our initials and he got a good laugh out of the Mickey boxers and Mickey's groom's ears. He hasn't given me my present yet as his with family, but I think I'll be getting it tomorrow.

Hey all... well I got my Christmas present last night.... actually DBF and I went together to get it but he picked it out.... he knew he wanted to get me a ring but wanted me to be there to tell him I liked it... I told him I would like anything he got me but he still asked me to go ..... so we went out last night and looked at 5 different rings and then I asked DBF if I could go look at engagement rings and he said I can look at whatever I want, so I went over and showed him what I liked... and then he saw a solitaire and asked to see that and I told him that they were engagement rings but only if he asked me and if he wanted to buy it he would just have to specify what it meant... so he bought it , I was and still am so excited... he was so loving and when we were checking out he told said " you deserve it and I love you very much" I was at a loss for words.... so I told him I didn't want it until Christmas but he insisted I open it today... he wanted me to wear it, so when he out it on me he said it was a promise ring.... it is absolutely beautiful... he did great .....

Anyone else get moody when friends get enaged? My bf not only got engaged without telling me he was going to do it, but they have been dating just as long as dbf and I...PLUS his divorce paperwork isn't final.

Really I am happy for them and I like her a lot (which is a first) it just makes me moody. And dbf just says it will happen someday...when the time is right. All he talks about is us getting married but now it's someday...he tells me he's ready but in the same breath says it's too early and not to worry.

Thanks for letting me vent, it's gonna be a crappy day. My jeans are fitting a bit snug and I am miserable. Got any chocolate?

To be quite honest, I know exactly how you feel. One of my good friends is getting married next month to a guy she has been dating for about a year. I just reconnected with 13 year-old me's best friend and found out she's getting married next summer. And another one of my friends from when I was about 13 is getting married next Halloween. I feel pangs of jealousy because I've been with DBF for longer then any of them have been with their boyfriends and we're all the same age. It is a sucky feeling, so I'm sorry you're going through that too

I know that it'll happen when the time is "right", but I'm just very impatient. And it doesn't help that everyone around me is like "wow, you guys have been together for 3 years and he still hasn't proposed?!"

I hope everyone had a fantastic day. Mine was good, but I miss DBF terribly (he is in CT until the 3rd) and I got about a million "when are you getting married" and "how long do you guys plan on living in sin" questions

What is everyone's plans on New Year's Eve/New Years? I think I'm spending it alone (again)

My brother and his family are visiting from Oregon, so I'll probably spend New Years with them, DBF will be with his family about 2 hours away.

I know how everyone feels about families asking questions. Last night everyone kept asking about us being together for so long and what our plans for the future were.

Merry Christmas girls! Yesterday was...interesting. I opened gifts with my parents and that was wonderful. Then dbf came over and we exchanged (I got a portable DVD player for when I travel for work, a camcorder and Wii!!)

Then we went to my extended family...what a nightmare. A huge fight broke up, everyonew as screaming at each other and my family left. UGH.

I'm off today and tomorrow dbf and I are getting prof pictures taken (for free) by my friend who is a wedding photographer! YAY! I'll post when she finishes them

Dbf and I have been talking a lot about the future and the whole, we aren't engaged thing. I'm not sure when it will happen, but I feel better about everything. My familly doesn't ask when we are getting married but when we are having a baby!!

I'm okay, still in recovery.

The money I was going to use to get my family a Wii didn't come in time for Christmas, but that's a good thing, because my dad ended up getting one for the family! it's causing some drama with my little sister though, we had to use the jaws of life to get her off of the thing tonight....

It's been about 2 weeks since my ex and I broke up, and one of my guy friends asked me out. Apparently he wanted to before, but didn't because I had a boyfriend. He has been over here quite often while I've been recovering, and is a really sweet guy.

How about you! Hope the "waiting" isn't much longer. But everything in time.

Hi girls.

It was ages ago I posted about really really wishing I might get engaged during my upcoming trip to Disneyland Paris.

Well, my Dbf took me ring shopping today! He wants to get one in the next week or so (so heres hoping in 3 weeks it'll be disney proposal time!!)

It's sooo tricky finding the perfect ring now i'm on the spot though!!!

BB & I are back to the land talking. Things have been kinda crazy there.

I know, it's beautiful! I saw it while looking through a mag at walgreens yesterday. I don't usually like A-Line dresses, but that one is lovely. To bad is Badgley Mischka, which means I can't afford.

Right now I prefer the first one I posted, it's so unique looking.
