Planning Weddings for those Not-yet Engaged!

So, now that I'm back from Disney and not feeling so stung (lol), I thought I'd post. Apparently I've missed a lot!

So, update from my trip to Disney

We went to Epcot for the Food and Wine Festival, (it was yummy and fatting!), and while we were there, he had to go to a gift shop by himself...at first I didn't think anything of it, but it turns out to be important later lol.

Now we've talked about getting married in the Italy Courtyard for 2 reasons. He LOVES Epcot, and in honor of my Italian hertiage.

So we arrive in Italy, and he takes me to the courtyard to sit down. While here, he takes my hand and tells me he really cares about me, and he has something to show me that he does.

He then takes out what he bought earlier (which was a ring) and attempts to put it on my index finger LOL.

Then he said "This is my promise to you that one day, we will get married. Hopefully right here".

Yup, I got a promise ring! It's cute I can't seem to get a decent picture of it though But it basically wraps around my pinky (it's adjustable but doesn't feel right on the ring finger) and it has a mickey head with my birthstone on top, and a star on the bottom. I love it

CONGRATS! At least is "mostly" committed!

And here's my dream e-ring....I already showed it to my DBF when he asked me what kind of rings I liked....and this was his reaction: Psh, men.

Another vote for the WP! I absolutely love that place....except for the ugly green carpet! LOL...sorry for everyone who loves the carpet, I just think it's too old-fashioned for me. And it totally doesn't work with the colors I'm planning on using! Double boo!

I actually would love the WP Beach too...it's so pretty!

Update, the interviewing process is going quite well. I think I might be landing a boyfriend. Hey that's the first step to my dream Vegas wedding.

Hey everyone.. I'm back from our trip.. it was amazing... I'm def still have the blues about being back in Canada.. where fall has hit and its cold.

I"m still attempting to catch up in this thread... and with all the drama... however,

Just wanted to say that ring is beautiful!!

OH.... during our trip we past a couple wedding locations and that SEALED the deal for me. I'll post a couple of pictures we took as soon as they are downloaded... WDW is beautiful. I can't wait to get married there... I envy all Disney Brides.

Tonight dbf wanted to go shopping for erings....to get an idea of what I like Lol of course it didn't pan out, but it was a sweet thought.

Lol who knows He was in a very goofy mood last night and kept trying to buy me stuff a pumpkin pie, a necklace with his initial on it, nike sneakers He kept tell me I do such nice things for him all the time that he wants to do something nice for me...then at one point he said let's go look at engagement rings

But he did tell me he wants to wait for at least a year because he really wants my parents to take us seriously. His parents were engaged after 2 months so we aren't worrried about them...but after all I am almost 30 so I don't think we have to worry about my parents

We were talking about rings the other day, he was like have you seen M's ring
(ex-wife)? I was like no, i try not to look at her. (she likes to call me names, so i stay away from her, so I am not tempted to rip her broken arm off and beat her with it!!! , ok not really but its a funny thought!!)
But he was like YOUR ring will be bigger and better than hers!!
ahhh...at least he knows that I LOVE princess cut & white gold!!

I already told him where I would want to get married...

Really DBF is a great guy!! He text me yesterday morning and was like I just want you to know that I appreciate everything you do for me. I just don't show you enough.

Ok, so for those of you thinking of DFTW, do you plan on having and MK or some other photoshoot? I know they're pretty expensive, but I would love to have one, the pictures I've seen are absolutely gorgeous.

Oh, I never saw this question! But yeah, I'm definitely going to have an MK/MGM photo shoot! I had asked DBF about EPCOT but he thought that idea was boring . So MGM/DHS it is!

I'm planning on adding on so many things for my DFTW it's disgusting! I'm going to end up with a $100,000 wedding....just watch me! LOL

Thanks...I am excited. The thing is he talks about it so much I have a feeling when it gets close he won't...so I will know it's coming. I'll be shocked if he can pull it off without either me knowing or without him telling me
