It looks tight but it's not. It actually spins around on my finger sometimes. I think it was tight from my hands being swollen from walking around the park all day! LOL

I think that quote is exactly WHY that thread was OT. The wedding board on the Dis is to discuss WDW weddings & HM's, it's not geared toward weddings in general. I looked at that thread & there was very little info related to WDW. I think you might have confused that with other general wedding boards. I think it's fun to dream about your future wedding & starting a thread to discuss those future plans is tons of fun , but those posts didn't really fit with what the WDW wedding board is intended for.

I don't think it would be appropriate for me to start a 6 Flags thread on the Dis Theme Park Attractions board or a thread about Applebees on the Dis Restaurants board-if I did, it would probably get moved to a more appropriate board. I'm not sure why that is any different That thread should have been moved here a long time ago.

I AM planning a WDW wedding, so for me, info about non-WDW weddings is just not helpful for me. Just my 2 cents & good vibes to you all & I'm glad you girls found an appropriate place to post!

Since I was kinda called out by name I feel I have a right to respond . First, I do have a bone to pick with the bolded text in your last comment. If that is true, then how come so many "at-home-Disney-wedding" PJs are allowed? If you only need DFTW info for your planning (which I completely agree with BTW) then how come everyone is so quick to say "OMG, WELCOME!" to all those girls who decide to chronicle their at-home-weddings on the Dis wedding forum? I have nothing against those girls but seriously, how is that helping you or any other DFTW bride? Not at all, right? How was our thread anymore off-topic than theirs? Because we don't have a ring? Really? Well, they're not having a DFTW (just like we aren't at the moment). If anything, they should be referred to TheKnot as well.

And as for my comment, well, she deserved it . That wasn't "nice" or "helpful" what she said. It was a personal attack that I felt was directed at me and the other kind girls on that thread. If someone is that classless to put a hostile GENERAL comment out like that, then they SHOULD be called out on it.

The fact that some girls from the other forum are coming on here and harassing us on our *new* thread is kind of childish. This thread isn't helpful to you at all so why did you follow us here? So you can pick another fight? Please, the situation happened and it's now over.

ETA: Aren't you planning a Swan/Dolphin wedding? I don't see how that's the same as a DFTW. Now, believe me, I'm thinking of doing the S/D because DFTWs are wayyy expensive but still. You're planning a S/D wedding which is NOT the same as a DFTW. It does not go through the same entity contractually and it doesn't get executed by the same entity either. If you want to say that, then *TECHNICALLY* even girls that are having their weddings at, oh let's say, the Royal Plaza Hotel are having "WDW weddings" because the hotel's location is in the *area* of WDW just like the S/D. They're NOT one and the same and if you are in fact having the wedding at S/D, then DFTW info is NOT relevant to you either.

I don't mean to be a hateful ***** (and I'm actually a pretty nice person, as evident by my past posts on the weddings board before this whole drama) but seriously, this cattiness needs to stop. We left the Weddings board; leave us alone.

I want to join. Okay so I don't have anything close to a bf, but hopefully someday. I've already been married, had the big wedding. So if I ever get married again it will be a fun, very small affair, probably Vegas, but could be tropical too, I just know it won't be anywhere close to home. I'm friend's with jordan'smomma so I will keep up with her plans and who knows. Maybe I will plan mine and then just wait for the groom.

Since I didn't talk about locations last time... I'm planning on the Wedding Pavillion. I'm not sure if I will be having an Escape wedding or not yet, but if I do have an Escape one then I would have a dinner and the Wishes cruise afterwards. If I have a Wishes wedding then I would probably have a small reception at Ariel's or something similar... (not sure about all the locations).

but we have "talked" about getting married and and having a disney wedding, so if and when that happens, i'll be a happier camper until that happens, i'll just be a happy and patiently waiting camper!

and only recently i started looking at all the wedding stuff that disney has to offer -- even made a wish book (but, of course, i'm afraid i'll jinx the whole thing). but n-e-wayyy ~ all the pics of dresses and cakes are gorgeous, keep posting them!!

If I get to do a Disney wedding, it will be an escape. I want a morning ceremony at Sea Breeze Pointe with breakfast somewhere after. Then of course a dessert party...my mom has always wanted one so I know I will have no problem getting her to pay for this, lol
