Aww!! Thanks for that Mandy! And I must say, my date with this guy last Monday was amazing! I thought it would be kind of tacky to elaborate on it in the same post that I was "grieving" my relationship with my ex-DBF but I have to share my giddiness about this new guy now that you mention your own love story with your DF!
So, I met this guy on Facebook. I friended him first because I just thought he was so cute and something about him (well, as much about him as a profile picture and a couple lines about himself can tell me lol) struck me. I was totally intrigued. So, I message him and friend him. We get to talking...and then all of the sudden he just stops replying!

Boo! A week after our "conversation", my best friend tells me "Maria, you're so into this kid. Just drop him one final line and tell him 'Look, I think you're really cute and a nice guy, let's hang out one day' ". So I do just that, verbatim

. He literally messages me back in less than an hour saying "Definitely, pick the time and date and let's do it!" I message him my phone number and he texts me and we set a time and date!
Well, that's about all we did till the next day (our date!). lol...I received no further texts, nothing. The morning of, the worst thing happens; my freakin' car won't start! Bah! So, I text him and say "Hey, my car won't start. I'm so sorry can we reschedule?" and he texts me back "Well, if you want. But I can totally pick you up and we can do something by you!" Now I was all

because he lives about 45 minutes away....to see someone you've never met before, 45 minutes is a long drive! Haha, so I agree and he comes, scoops me up, and we take off! We went to see a movie (Angels and Demons) and had a great time. As we were leaving the theater, the rain starts POURING DOWN! So, we head back to theater and watch another movie (this time, Wolverine).
Now, in the first movie, there was absolutely NO physical contact. Like, I literally sat with my hands together and so did he

. With the second movie, I had bought popcorn and a diet coke (I'm a diet coke junkie!) and offered it to him and sat it down on the arm rest. During the movie, I start feeling something almost tickling my hand. At first, I totally thought I was imagining this haha! I mean, c'mon, this was my first "first date" in 3 years (to the date!)! When I finally realized it was his fingers tickling my hand, I opened my hand and he instantly YANKED it!

He held it for a little while and then he moved his arm to wrap me up and, ladies, I literally MELTED into his arms! It was surreal! We stayed like that the remainder of the movie....I honestly can't tell you what the movie was about or how long it was or anything. All I can remember was being on cloud nine

. It was amazing...
Afterwards, we went to this arcade-like place that had a couple of pool tables and he taught me how to play pool! I was horrible but, gosh, he was so encouraging! I can't remember feeling so carefree and just happy in such a long time!
Of course, here comes the drama: he hasn't called since then.

But, he did mention he was in law school and finishing up a huge project so I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt...and he did try to talk to me for a little bit on Facebook (after I texted him first...sigh, MEN!). So we'll see how it goes. I texted him yesterday to hang out again and he told me that he was really busy...but his project is due tomorrow so we will "definitely be hanging out this week!". Hopefully this actually happens....I'm really excited about this guy!
And, in the spirit of my story, ladies, do tell your first date stories! I wrote a book LOL, so feel free to tell every single detail!
