Planning Video Ads

As mentioned on the 8/9/16 podcast, I'd love to get the trip planning video—not so much for the video itself but to be put on a marketing list for discount codes, etc. It's a big plus that it would generate some ad revenue for the DIS, one of the few sites for which I turn my ad blocker off so they can get ad revenue from me. However, it appears the ad you have to click on to get the video doesn't work on Google Chrome. You know, Chrome, the MOST POPULAR BROWSER ON THE PLANET!

So, while I'd love to get the video, I'm not interested enough to actually use a different browser just to respond to an ad.

I use Google Chrome and it totally worked for me without a single issue. You may want to try clearing out your cache/cookies/history and try it again. I'd even restart your computer after doing all that just to reset everything.

Nope.

Cleared cache and history. Restarted computer, and still don't see it. Others in the comments on that page are saying Chrome does not support the java applet for the ad.

Yes, but it's turned off.

I'm using Chrome. I've had problems with java applets for Chrome. I didn't have a problem with this.

If you look at the comments on the page, it's not just me that's having the issue. The common factor seems to be Chrome, but with any extension-able browser, you could have any number of extensions that are breaking the page.

Just figured out what it was. It wasn't the ad-blocker, but the "disconnect" extension, which blocks tracking info.
