Which dates do you think the crowds would be lower this year? (Or, will both be high crowd times?)

Wed 8/26 to Sat 8/29 (tail end of summer)

-OR-

Wed 11/11 to Sat 11/14 (Wed 11/11 is Veterans Day)

I would think the november dates would be less crowded especially since I think most people will get the previous Monday off for Veteren's Day and would be going for the long weekend and not necessarily staying for the whole week. My birthday is on Veteren's Day and it doesn't seem like it's ever been terribly crowded. Although, I have to say this year in general has seemed a lot more crowded than in previous years. But most of your trip would be during the week and during "off" season (if there is such a thing anymore) so I think it should be good. Plus it probably won't be as hot in november which to me would be better.

I thought (at least in our area) Vet's Day was off ON Vet's day, not nearest Monday. We are off on the Wednesday. I remember some big stink about not moving it to the nearest Monday several years ago. That may not be everywhere though.

If you go in November, the Xmas deco will be up and it looks like the Holiday parade will be filming on the 13th or 14th...but that will probably increase the crowds.

If you go in August, you will just miss the Summer Nightastic (only until 8/23), but can take advantage of the 5 for 3 promo...

That's a tricky one.

You are wise to go in the middle the week. Saturday is always busy.
The park is most always open late in August, so that's a plus, but it draws more crowds. In November its a gamble because of the holiday and the park might not be open as long, but October-Mid November is off season.

If I had to choose I would take November just because I like the Christmas theme.

How about Wed. 10/28 - Sat. 10/31....how would those dates compare to my August and November dates? Better/worse? TIA!!

Around here everyone still seems to get monday off for Veteren's Day every year but I don't know about other places. I remember putting up a stink (to my friends and family) when I was little because I wanted my actual birthday off from school and not the monday before.

So, if some places are actually getting off November 11 instead of the monday before, then I don't know what crowds will be like. Still seems likeit might be less than summer but you can never tell.

I think those dates are probably worse. I've heard that Halloween time is getting to be pretty popular and there are big crowds.

Oh bummer, we've never seen the Halloween decor. Is the end of the month (10/28-31) especially busy, or about the same all of October?

I think it's busy during the days that they have the halloween party but I think I read that it was more busy at the end of the month though. I don't actually have any experience with this because we didn't get our APs until november and other years that we visited or had APs was before they had the halloween party so october was quiet. So I'm just basing this off of reports I read from other people.
