Hi Everyone -
I'm hoping to get some guidance. I've been dubbed master planner for our trip for a family of 19! We're traveling next October and I've linked all guests to our hotel reservation on My Disney Experience.

I think I can handle the dining reservations when the time comes.

My concern is with using Fastpass. Can I make separate fastpass reservations for each member of the group? Can they go into the account and make their own? Anyone have any experience planning for a large group?

I'd also love any general tips/suggestions for a group this large.

Thanks in advance.

I am currently the organizer for our big trip in under 3 weeks. There will be 17 people going, though only 16 of those people going to the parks. I just did FP for our party of 16, well 14 with tickets (2 are too young). Yes they can either make MDE accounts and link them to yours and then make their own FP+, or if you don't want them messing with things (this was me) you can make them for them. You do not have to have the same FP for each person.

For instance one of our days at Hollywood Studios I have 3 people with Disney Jr, 11 people doing Star Tours (at 2 different times, one group of 3 one group of 8), a bunch of overlapping Midway Mania FP (couldn't get all 14 at the exact same time so they overlap and give us 45 minutes when we all have the same times), 3 Tower of Terror FP (with only one of those being from the earlier 3 for Disney Jr), and 11 Frozen Sing-Along FPs. That is probably our most split up Fastpass day since most of the group was happy to do whatever, but it was super easy to break people into groups and do individual FP for different people and rides.

So weird because I also am planning a trip for 19 :-) well actually we leave tomorrow so I guess the planning is over. basically what I did, since everyone going are newbies, is I just added all 6 reservations to my MDE and then added their names to friends and family. With the dining, we booked well after 180 days so I just had to piece together what I could get, so that everyone could go(ex. ressie for 15 people at Teppan Edo at 12:40 and ressie for 4 people at Teppan Edo at 1:00pm).
Yes, you can make separate FP+ for everyone. Again, the easiest way I found to do this was to set everyone up through my MDE so I could control it and no one could mess anything up. I basically took everyones suggestions for rides and timed them to all fall within the one hour window if the ride was different.
My best tip for you is to add everything to your own MDE. one family in our party wanted their reservation linked to their own MDE account which was fine, but when the time came, he forgot to order his magic bands!!! so now theirs are the only ones waiting for them at the front desk. For people that go often(me :-) ) its second nature to order magic bands, set up magical express, etc. Good Luck!

Disney recently started a new group just to handle large groups or guests who are trying to arrange multiple trips at the same time.

The message that appears when they detect a large group on the website is: " We recommend that you use our complimentary service to set up My Disney Experience if you’re making plans for 2 or more reservations, or if you’re making plans for a group of 10 or more Guests. For assistance, call (407) 939-7771 from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM Eastern Time."

Never tried it, havent' done a large group since they started this..
