Hi. Just trying to get my head around the flow of the day. I've come up with a mock timeline, can anyone tell me if i'm getting the times right (ie: length of ceremony, photos etc)

12.00 Ceremony
1.00 - 2.00 Photos
2.00 - 3.00 Cocktail hour
3.00 - 7.00 Reception
7.30 Take transport to Epcot for DP
8.00 - 9.00 Dessert Party
9.30 Leave Epcot and head back to resort.

Is this a realistic timeline? Could i do a similar thing with a 2.30 Ceremony? Thanks xx

Few questions that I would have if I were a guest....
1. You could do a 230 ceremony if you would be willing to take pictures before the ceremony. From other weddings I've been in, pictures seem to take awhile!

2. What is the difference between the reception and dessert party? Are they in different locations? If you have a big group, it may be best to keep it all at the same place.

3. I would say something like 4-9pm coctails, dinner/appetizers (whatever you're planning), dessert, dancing, ect. Its easiest to talk to people that way. Also, you may be ready to head back to the hotel before everyone else. I would say around 830, so you have time alone before you crash.

This seems about right. The only thing is how long do you want for pictures?

We are doing pictures before our ceremony so we can spend more time with our guests and they don't have to wait for us. Here is my timeline.

1:00pm - 2:15pm pictures
2:30 - 3:15pm ceremony
3:15pm - 4:30pm pre-reception
4:30pm - 7:15pm dinner/reception
7:30pm bus leaves for Epcot
8:00pm - 9:30 for the dessert party

There is some extra time built is as people need to walk from one location to the other.

Thanks for the reply. I'm gonna have a think about the length of time for photos. I'm just a bit of traditionalist when it comes to seeing each other before the ceremony. Glad the rest of the timeline seems about right.

1 hour seems quite long for the ceremony. Also isn't the cocktail hour supposed to happen while you have your photos taken so your guests aren't standing around?

I agree... our guests will be at the cocktail hour while we are taking photos and we are hoping to make it to the last 15 minutes or so.

Everything else sounds great!
