Planning strategy for 2 days

Hi fellow Disneyland fans!

We'll be visiting DLR in August and have 2 days in the parks... Thursday 8/9 and Friday 8/10. My crew of 4 (me, DH, DD15, and DS9) hate waking up early but I'm hoping that we can do EMH at least 1 of the mornings in DCA. Maybe I can bribe them with waffles! We're staying at the DLH so as I understand it can choose any day for EMH.

Now, here's where my overthinking is killing me...

Would it be better to do EMH in DCA on Thursday (where it is also AP EE) or wait and do it in DCA on Friday (when it is EMH only)? If we chose EMH in DCA for Friday, then we'll probably hit DL on Thursday which is MM so might make DL busier.

(BTW, anybody else getting dizzy and not just from all the acronyms and abbreviations?)

Are people seeing that DCA is busier during EE when the AP have EE or is the difference not significant?

I know my zoo crew is going to complain about waking up early, and tease me about my over thinking but they don't seem to mind not waiting in lines and the fact that mom is willing to run around collecting fastpasses for them.

In any case... mom's going to need to find a glass or wine or a nice fruity cocktail after all this.

Since onsite guests get EMH to either park on anyday of the week. They almost all go do DCA every day of the week.

If you want to do EMH in one park and then the other, DCA Thurdsday and DL Friday is the way to go. However you may want to do DCA twice. Ride RSR early twice if it's open get a FP for RSR with a return in the first hour of park operation twice. Have a chance at two FPs for RSR in a single day. Ride LFT with a small wait. Ride TSMM, CS, ToT with nearly walk on waits.

It's a lot better than going to DL on Friday to walk on ST, Space which you can easily FP.

Great idea, Skiingfast! We might have to consider that. Haha, now I have to convince family to wake up early for *both* days. More waffle bribes!
