Planning sessions

I just emailed my planner about scheduling the planning session.

She wrote back planning sessions and 4 & 6mths out from the wedding.

Is there two planning session or 1?

There is one planning session sometime between 4 and 6 months before your date. Sometimes the site visit and planning session happen at different times, like if you went down for a site visit 8 months before and did your planning session 4 months before.

Bouncy bounce, Lurkyloo has already answered you -- (1) site visit and (1) planning session. You can do both. You can do one. Or you can do none (and handle everything via e-mail / telephone / FAX).

I just wanted to mention that I had my planning session at the end of July and my custom vow renewal was at the end of October (this was a few years ago). Most folks have their planning sessions more in advance, but I really didn't decide to hold my dinner reception inside the Great Movie Ride until it was kinda late in the game (and thus I had a late planning session). The FTW folks were able to handle everything within that three-month time-frame and my vow renewal was truly ~magical.~ So, try not to panic about the date of your planning session too much.

we are getting married after you on sept 2nd and we are having our planning session on 5th feb 9-12.30 is one and then2:30 for the tasting. Prices for ours cannot be locked in till march but she said it will take a couple of weeks to sort that anyway

We had our site visit at about 14 months to decide on location and then had our planning session in the May for our September wedding.
