Planning session food tasting...

I know there is a cake testing but has anyone had a food tasting during thier planning visit? I haven't heard anyone mention on here if they had one or not. I am having a buffet dinner not a sit down, and I am not sure of some of the entrees, do you think it would be possible. Plus I was thinking about requesting a dish that I have not seen on the menues my EM provided me. I would like to hear if any has done this.

you must request the food tasting. we did so and had ours during our ps in Nov. Please call and request it as sometimes they are hard to arrange on short notice. But I highly recommend it to taste all your yummy food options.

I had one- I requested it - we were not able to taste our reception food but tasted the food for the rehearsal dinner and the tea party- YUM! It was really cool to be in the kitchen to see what all happens- they were so very nice too! It was also good b/c I have a cousin w/ food allergies so we were able to speak to the chef about that as well!

We had one at our planning session. We had ours on the same day as the PS but we met our EM later in the evening at the boardwalk as thats where we are having the reception. We sat down with our EM and the Chef at the boardwalk and tried various appetizers and Entrees. It really helped us make our decision and the food was delicious! I really would recommend arranging one!
