does everyone plan there holiday down to the very last detail? i was thinking about mine, my dh has been 3 times and this is my first trip and the only thing we have planned is 3 eating places and mvmcp and swimming with sharks but apart from that
i prefer to go with the flow,,

i am realizing how much my kids will miss if i dont plan :surfweb: ,they wanted the sci fi diner so i have booked it,youngest will love crt which sells quickly.i am flexible within the plan i think thats the key,i know several people that have just come back and when i ask did you do spiderman at ioa they said no they did'nt fancy a show :rotfl2: it turned out they missed loads of the top attractions, but you dont fool me unconciously you ARE planning reading your replies :teeth:

I do plan in detail but the detail helps me amend the plan if something crops up, last year I had earache quite alot but despite the hospital visit's we didnt miss much because I could just re-prioritise

yep am reading the replys lolol
we booked sci-fi dinner for my son i just feel i would get over anixious and go off one if i planned somthing down to the last detail and it didn't go to plan , if you know what i mean

We plan for some things - book must do's (Pirates and princess party in Jan) and then list what we want to do and tick it off as we go. Some days we just see which bus turns up first and catch that. If I want to eat somewhere I do make an ADR - I am one of those who does not like how the Dining Plan has made walk ups so much more difficult :guilty:

I have about 7 days that are planned, usually around ADRs but I always keep days free in case we want extra shopping, other parks etc

I always plan!! I have my itinerary all typed out, all colour coded for different things. It always ends up getting altered a little, but at least everything is on there that we want to do, and we won't miss out on anything!

We do ADRs for most days, only one per day. If we book Breakfast then we leave dinner free and vice versa. We never used to plan every meal but with the dining plan it's becoming impossible to get the restaurants you want at the right times.

You can always cancel ADRs but may find it difficult to make them during your visit, especially if it's a busy period.

I think it depends on when you go. I do make a plan of what will be our first park of the day, based on which is the quietest. This allows us to get the best from each park and avoid busier days. The plan isn't written in stone though and can be adapted.

We're exactly the same, we have got 3 ADR's booked for our next trip (due to birthdays), but we usually decide which park we're going to the night before -we definitely prefer to go with the flow :thumbsup2

When going somewhere new, (Florence last February, New York in April before moving on to Orlando, and Barcelona in 2 weeks time :) ) I prefer to plan only 2 or 3 items per day, knowing that browsing between these will create opportunities to do much, much more. However, with Florida, after so many visits, I now know it so well, including intricacies such as travelling times, park routines etc, that I prefer to plan in fine detail, filling every available hour with favourite things. Sure, we allow 'chill' time, and we aren't afraid to change the itinerary if circumstances dictate (fatique, weather etc) but on the whole we pretty much know what we will be doing on each segment of each day. In my observation and experience, 'going with the flow' generally means lie-ins, late starts, long lines, fractious kids and angry parents..... :)

We dont Plan much we prefer to decide on a day by day basis .We choose a couple of things every one wants to do before we leave and fit them in as and when.we book a couple of things but thats all . :sunny:
