We are planning a trip to WDW in September...do you guys ever plan your pages in advance? If so, what all do you do? We have been several times but I usually scrapbook after the fact. I would like to plan unique pages for unusual photos since I have so many of the same old ones...if you've been to WDW several times, you know what I mean by the same old photos. Any ideas on unique photos and the pre-scraped or pre-planned pages to go with them?
Thanks!

I know Reddy makes pages in advance.

the only time I preplanned photos was when I did the ABC's of Disney album. There were a few letters that I needed to plan for.

But I hear you on the same old same old. It's really hard to keep it fresh.

One thing I like to do to plan ahead for pages is make sure we are all wearing the same color scheme. The kids are getting to old to want to match, but at least if we are wearing something of a similar color, that helps in making cuter pages.

We also take the same picture in front of the castle every year, so that is a nice reminder of how we've changed. I love taking that one and comparing all the years past. We have also agreed to make certain funny faces on ride pictures to make those funnier, which was goofy and made for a fun page.

That's about as good as it gets for us planning ahead for scrapbook pages. It's hard to change it up each year.

I do most of mine in advance like B&MB said. only downside is - you have to be willing to not use a page that you did up

after this last trip I think I should just "kit" the pages so I can pic photos that I like best instead of the ones that fit the pages - had some that needed pics spots going up& down but the really good pic didn't fit that way:confused3

at this moment I'm trying to learn digital so changing that should be easier;) - at least for the boys books (I brought more paper:goodvibes with Disney in mind)

I am with you. I am encountering the same problem. Having 3 different dumbo lay outs for our last three trips over 1.5 years seems silly (the kids still look the same age, etc.) . That's not even total trips, just recent. So I do not premake layouts, I may pin some I like with an idea in my head but that is it. I have been gradually turning to more random moment photos and one page layouts. I have been lumping characters, rides, and random moments together on layouts. If I have few pictures that I really love then, I try to just do a one page layout instead of feeling the need to make everything a two page layout. I do still take castle pictures, tree of life, etc. but I take a few instead of 50 then pick our favorites. I realize that I can't scrap every moment or I will have hundreds of albums. I almost always have bad luck when I premake layouts because my picture is vertical when I need horizontal, etc. good luck!!

Here are a few examples. Sorry, my phone doesn't take good pictures (and I was lazy and didn't remove sleeves, find natural light, etc.) The colors are much brighter IRL. Reddy you and your paper piecings are on some of these layouts. The carpet rides were some of my favorite rides photos but I narrowed them down and just did one.

Photos are not too unique, more snap shots random moments. I will say that I like taking pictures from a separate seat on a ride from my kids like carpet rides, astro orbiter, dumbo for better photos. Or snap pictures of faces on tea cups, splash mountain, Kali, (I carry water proof camera), toy story, buzz, tot, etc. I love pinterest for unique Disney photo pictures. Great ideas!!

I can't wait to see it! I have two unfinished Disney trip albums, one from 2007 and one from 2010. I am in 2008 in our family album, and I don't have any pics printed past 2010. Do you feel better now??? ;)
