Firstly,

MERRY CHRISTMAS! I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

I know this is petty but I have to say it! I've been reading and reading and reading. I think I know about a million times more than the average first timer to DL but I still can't help but have some anxiety about this trip. I don't know what I'm troubleshooting, I think that I'm just paranoid because I'm finally putting everything together! But that's my little freak out of the day! Thanks for listening!

Someday we should come up with a list of Stages of a Disney Trip.

I know that late in the planning anxiety is definitely one of them.

In a few weeks you'll probably hit the "why aren't I more excited?" phase.

And at some point during the trip you'll hit the "omg there are fewer days to go than have already passed, nooooooooooo!" phase.

Anyway, it's normal, and you'll be OK.

Yup, it will all fall into place. And yes, you're feelings are normal, heck I went to DL 14 times JUST last year and I still had that feeling for the trip I've got coming up. LOL

:rotfl: This was me two weeks ago... planned prepared reservations made...then last minute panic...

Everything will be wonderful!

Dress warmly and go make lots of happy memories at Disneyland!:wizard:

Well, at least I'm not the only one! :cool1:
Thanks everyone!!! Although, I have to admit I'm still a little bit nervous! LOL

I've been through those stages. In fact I'm going through a weird one right now. I should be more excited but there are so many things going on in my family life right now (my granny is sick w/ dementia, etc., and I take care of her; recently had to move her into a care home), plus I am sick with another sinus infection so that doesn't help. I feel more guilty about going than anything. The economy is in the toilet, we've lost so much in investments, we pay for granny's care and DS college tuition so it's like we're working to take care of everyone else and our retirement dreams are going down the drain. We really should not be taking this trip. But we thought, who knows when we'll be able to go again if things don't turn around soon? I hope we get to really enjoy it and have fun while there. We could all use a little break from the daily stressors of life. Sorry OP, didn't mean to hijack your thread. :goodvibes

Edit: This is our first trip ever that we don't have any PS arrangements. We're just going to wing it and be value driven all the way...

I know how you feel my Grandmother is so far gone she can't even talk anymore, it's sad to see.

I'm one of those "very stubborn children" who refused to let my parents really help me with school so I've been doing it all on my own, I know it sounds weird but it makes me feel like what I've accomplished is mine!

This is the first trip that I've taken and paid for without my family. I'm so excited but like you with the economy (and the crappy exchange rate) I'm beginning to have doubts too. But I've been saving for this trip for three years and think that I deserve it!

There's my OT rant! Thanks! LOL
