I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but...

I'm over planning! pirate:

Usually I'm so on top of things, but maybe this DVC thing is just gonna burn me out. It just seems like I've always got a trip to plan. Life is really rough. :earboy2:

I still haven't finished planning our February trip, our PS window for our April trip has already come and gone and then I saw I will need to book our January trip while we're at WDW during our February trip! Really...

So, I'm curious to those fellow DVC members who have been in this game for awhile now if you even plan anything anymore or do you wing it all??? :scratchin

the first couple of days I still made and goto my PS - after then - no generally - we go where we feel like it.

I have got to get back into planning....

Though we don't get to WDW as often as you, being a detailed, obsessive compulsive perfectionist, I can't go anywhere w/o extensive planning and research. But it's not a bad thing- I enjoy the planning part- making PS's, and searching the DIS for new ideas and things to do.

Our plan is much more a "while we're at WDW, we'd like to ...." and then take inventory each day to see what we've done and what we haven't done. That is the beauty of DVC, you'll be returning.
Someone was asking about making PS's before leaving home, I've never done that. but that is our style of trip and I realize it is not for everyone.
I do think about anything special we'd like to do - golf, tours, etc and book and buy tickets ahead of time but that's about it.

I feel like I'm planning more, now that I am a DVC member, instead of less. Maybe that's just because I'm compulsive about these things and I'm new at it. I think once I get the first trip as a member all set, I'll calm down a little. :earboy2:

I over planned and now that we're 40 days out, I'm not that into it. But I'm also planning for the whole family and I'm getting kind of sick of them!

I know what you mean. We've gone several times before being dvc members and I always plan to a point, but now, I have so much more info from these boards ( I didn't know anything about them before) that I don't know what I want to do most. I just keep telling myself I have the next 50 years to do it all. So I'm going to "plan" 1 or 2 things per trip......unless I change my mind hehe

We no longer plan every minute of the trip. But we hate long waits for a nice supper. So we tend to book several dinner PS at Epcot or MGM restaurants (walking distance from our home at BCV). That way we can go to whatever park we like (or lounge around), return to the villa to clean up or swim or snooze. Then we walk over for a PS supper and walk home again when we feel like it.
