And yes, Henry LOVED the cake. It took him a bit to take a bite, he kept just playing with it, but after he did it was wide-open mouth from there.

It looks like you had a nice birthday party! My DD had her 1st birthday party last weekend and did the same thing with her cake. Everyone was waiting for her to take a bite. Finally I put some cake in her mouth and then she gobbled it all up. Here are a couple pictures of her.

And here is my extra shirt, I just love it! I'm thinking it will be perfect for Chef Mickey's.

I absolutely love that shirt! I got the same shirt in the mail today, only it has daisy and donald duck on it! I couldn't decide which one to get. They are all so cute.

YES, it's very exciting. And yesterday while cleaning I found a Disney gift card, so I might just have to do some more shopping! And thank you for the birthday wishes for my little man.

eBay can be a wonderful thing! I should look on there for a few shirts that we are having trouble hunting down.

Two weeks after the 1st birthday would be about perfect-that way they would be pros by the time Disney rolled around. I could see it happening, one day they just let go of the toy and keep walking! It's hard to imagine they go from teeny and helpless to walking in just a year.

I usually do a chain for countdowns to big trips. I think they are fun to watch get shorter and shorter.

09-09-2008 - The countdown begins!

Today Joe, Henry and I removed the first Mickey Head from our countdown!

Hmmm...I wonder what 6 letter word this could be?

We also got a few more shirts tonight-2 for me and 2 for Henry. The shirts are proving difficult to match with the themes we wanted (short of making them, which might, or might not happen-depending on my ambition and time!). So right now, we just pick up whatever we find and we'll deal with any matching/themes later. Finding shirts for Joe is near impossible, other than off Disneyshopping.com or possibly eBay...

We had made a trip to Wal*Mart tonight to purchase some organizational items I knew Target did not have. I am NOT a Wal*Mart girl. I loathe Wal*Mart and avoid it! But, I was there because it was my only choice. And...I found Disney shirts....so my intended $20 purchase turned into more.... But hey, we got shirts!

Thanks all! I'm excited about the countdown and that we are finally getting close. It is all becoming more real, even our payment is due this month - that will really seal the deal!

I have to wait until later tonight, after church, to remove the next Mickey. Joe goes to a different office on Wednesdays, he's gone before I even get up. Then as soon as we both get home, it's fast forward from there - throw something together for dinner, eat as fast as possible, feed Henry, get ready for church and out the door! I told him I would wait for him, so we could all do it again. I got the eye roll....but with a smile. I knew he'd like it!

The shirts were $7 each - something that is actually a REAL decent price at Wal*Mart. (Part of my dislike of them is that they have everyone beliving they have low prices - but they don't! Target is just as cheap in most everything, and often times cheaper! Someday I should make a random list and do a comparison....Okay, getting off soap box...sorry. )

We just took off our second one about an hour ago...I'll wait until we have a couple more down to give you another hint to what the first word is.

The Wall-E ones are my favorites! There are a couple choices of them at Wal*Mart too, and only $5. I let my DH pick which one, and he picked LIME GREEN, even though he's color blind, he knows the lime...
