Planning our park days...which is better -- MGM on Sunday or Friday (memorial day)?

We're going to Disney May 21st - 28th. We're staying off site so we don't get to take advantage of the early/late hours.

We want to go to MGM on a weekend to see the star wars characters. Our two options are sunday, May 21st (which I believe is a late night at MGM) or Friday, May 28thth (which is the start of Memorial day weekend)?

I'm trying to figure out the lesser of 2 evils!! Do you have any thoughts as to which day would be better? We're not planning to stay late -- will probably be at the park until 3:00 pm (ish) so I'm not sure if the Sunday crowd would be horrible at that point.

I'd appreciate your thoughts!

I would say Sunday. I avoid any and all of the parks during Memorial Day Weekend.

May 21 is a Saturday
May 22 is a Sunday

We will be at WDW those days (our last two). Still debating to go to Star Wars weekend (We aren't really into it much but would be neat to see characters). Thinking of stopping by on Sunday
