Hi Everyone! :flower3: I have a couple questions about planning our honeymoon. DF and I are planning on doing a DCL honeymoon. Ideally we wanted the 3 day sea 4 day land BUT b/c our wedding is on a monday we would only have 2 days before the ship sails. I asked over on the cruise board about splitting up the land portion and was told we can't do that. Whatevs not a big deal. We will plan a 3 day cruise and book the land separately. My questions are...
1) how far in advance did everyone plan their HM. Am I doing this too soon seeing as we don't have our wedding trip booked yet?

2) has anybody used an online travel agency such as travelocity or expedia to book their honeymoon? If I do this and want to add something to our reservation, such as the romance package, can I still call Disney to add that on or am I out of luck?

3) for those of you who have been on the Wonder, does the verandah or oceanview really matter? Is it worth the extra money or should we save the $$$ and get an inside room?

Thanks in advance for all your help! :flower3:

First things first - I would book now just incase the prices go up. If they drop you can get your reservation changed to honor the new lower price. The big advantage to using a travel agent is that a number of them give you onboard credits that are usually larger than what disney gives you for booking directly.

I have never stayed in an inside or oceanview room. But I can tell you about the verandahs. Its great to sit out there and just watch the waves go buy especially at night. The best part is being able to lie in bed and have the breeze come through and hear the waves crash against the side of the ship. I have heard that the inside rooms are very dark - so you can wake up and have no clue what time it is - but great for taking afternoon naps. There are two kinds of porthole rooms one has a really big window and the other has two super little windows. The big advantage is having some light.

With all of that said about staterooms. There are a handful of special staterooms that are considered to be inside and are sold for the inside price, but actually have portholes that are just partially blocked. So that way you are paying for an inside stateroom but still get light. If you do a quick google search I am sure you can find the room numbers.

We are also doing WDW and a cruise. I booked the cruise 15 months out...as soon as we decided on it, we booked it. The WDW portion, we booked once 2009 rates came out, which was August, so that was about 11 months out. I think booking sererately is better anyway, so don't worry about that! We booked through Magical Journeys only because I use her for booking my WDW trips because I trust her to apply any discounts once they are released.

As far as the verandah goes, it's your honeymoon! If you can afford it, splurge for the verandah!!

Good luck with your planning!
