I always like to get new socks before a trip, too. It's a good excuse and reason to go out and purchase them!

What website did you order the suits off of? I love the style of the green one!

Right before a trip is when I really build my sock collection! You're right, though, it is the perfect excuse.

I got both of the one-piece suits off of macys.com. That kind of vintage look is very popular right now - there are lots of similar styles available!

I love getting new things before a trip! Right down to a new tube of toothpaste, I just like having new stuff for a vacation! Socks are definitely included in that!

I love your swimsuits! Mixing and matching is a great idea. I only have two suits I am taking on this trip so I will have to alternate. I love the one pieces too! They look like they should hold up in the water parks!

Yay for your DIY wedding stuff! We did a lot of our own stuff for our wedding to save money and (with lots of help from family and friends) it turned out great!

Vacation makes buying mundane things like toothpaste and socks so much fun, doesn't it?!

I kind of wish now that I had of done more DIY. I was actually planning on it, but then time kind of ran away from me. I was able to find pretty good deals on things that made me second guess the amount of time that I would end up putting in to a project. I am really glad I am going to have some homemade items, though. I had a lot of fun doing them! If if I had it to do over, I would try my hand at more DIY!

I love your bathing suits! Where did you buy them? I'm looking for a bathing suit for my trip, but unless I lose a significant amount of weight, I won't bother buying one, since I always wear a t shirt in the pool!

That's great that the Wishes boat can pick you up at WL and you are going to have time to explore over there! You can see my "home" resort, even though I'm not DVC, it still feels like my home!

I got the tankinis from hepari.com and the one-piece suits from macys.com. I don't think bathing suit shopping is fun at any size! Even though I've lost a good bit of weight it's still not easy putting a suit on and knowing that everyone is going to see all of that! I'm sure you're going to be able to get one, though! Don't give up!

I completely understand the "home resort" feeling. That's exactly how I feel about POFQ. I think it's so nice to have a place that feels that way. Even though I love trying out different resorts and I have quite a few places ahead of POFQ that I'd like to stay for future trips, it's good to know that no matter what, I'll always have a place that I love and can fall back on.

I hope I fall in love with a moderate the same way as I fell in love with WL! It would be nice to have a "home" mod too, since they're so much cheaper! I did like POR, but I didn't love it the way I had hoped! I can't wait to try POFQ and CBR someday, I think I'll love both of them! I'd love to try CSR too, but the location bothers me, it seems so far from everything else!

Oh no! Sorry! I type it wrong every time. It's hapari.com. I've been to that Korean site many times!

I hope you can find a mod home, too! Although I truly believe there is only one "home" resort for everyone. I guess I'm lucky that mine is on the lower end of the price scale! I felt the same way about POR. I liked it, but I didn't love it like I was expecting to. My problem with POR and CSR (and mostly likely CBR if I ever stay there) is their size. I don't like that it takes forever to get to the food court, pool, etc. I think that POFQ has a much better size. I think it's really about memories, though. That's why WL is so special to you!

DAY 8 & 9 PLANS

I better hurry up if I am going to finish our daily plans before we take off for our trip! We've only got one week and four days! Here's what we'll be doing on days 8 & 9!

DAY 8

I am really, really looking forward to this day. We'll be doing mostly nothing! We'll start the morning off by waking up at a very leisurely pace. It will be so nice to know that there's really no where we have to be!

Sometime around or slightly after 10:00 we'll get into our bathing suits, pack up the pool bag and head down to the Poly pool for our day at the cabana!

I can not wait to spend the day here. I decided to go with the full day rental, so it's all ours until 7:00 pm. We'll hang out here, enjoy the amenities and at some point we'll grab some lunch from Captain Cooks and I'm sure enjoy a Lapu Lapu or two.

After we've had all the lounging we can handle, we'll head back to the room to get changed for our just-added signature dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse!

I have never been to the Yacht Club, so I am really looking forward to checking out this resort. It looks so beautiful!

I'm really excited for our second signature meal of the trip! It should be a fun, but very relaxing day!


DAY 9

Our relaxing day on Monday will be very useful come day 9. This will be a full day for us! We'll start the morning off early by waking up and catching the monorail to head over to Epcot!

We'll quickly speed through Future World and head over to World Showcase, where we'll check in to Akershus for one of our favorite character meals!

We always have the best time at this restaurant. The princess interaction is great, the food is always yummy and the CMs are super sweet. We think it's the perfect way to start off an Epcot day!

Next, we'll head back to FW for all of our favorite attractions! We'll of course be visiting Test Track, Mission: Space, Spaceship Earth, Living With the Land, and Soarin'!

In the afternoon, we'll go back to the Poly for a break and then it will be back to Epcot that evening for another favorite meal: La Hacienda!

After trying out this new Epcot eatery for the first time in November, we knew we had to return! The food was amazing and we can't wait to order this again!

After we've stuffed ourselves on yummy Mexican food we'll do our best to find a good spot and settle in for Illuminations - the perfect ending to any evening!

Days 8 & 9 sound great

After a day of relaxing (that Cabana looks awesome!), going to a nice signature meal will be awesome You and Miguel will love it. And I sometimes base where we eat off of what I want to eat there lol So I sometimes pre-plan my meal places as well!

I will be trying Akershus for the first time on our September trip. We will be there at lunchtime. I am really looking forward to it!!!

HONEYMOON WARDROBE!

I am so excited to finally be able to share my outfits for our trip with you all! As I’m sure you all know by now, I like to plan out what I’m going to wear, just like everything else! No pulling something out of the closet/drawer/suitcase on a whim for me! LOL.I have been planning out what I am going to wear for months now and collecting clothes as I go. Normally, I base what I’m going to wear around my VB Hipsters (aka my fav park bag). This time though, I wanted to do something a little different. I decided to draw inspiration for my outfit each day from something in our plans for that day. Most of the inspiration comes from icons in parks, attractions, restaurants or an overall atmosphere for the day.

And of course, I had to have some sort of spreadsheet going to keep all of this organized! It was actually more helpful than I even anticipated it to be. Because I have been planning this out for months, it would have been hard to keep track of exactly which outfits I had and what items I still needed to purchase. It also made it really simple to change things around as the plans changed. I consider this another valuable planning feature that I will definitely be using in the future!

So let’s get started! ( I had to break my post into two because of all of the pictures, but part 2 follows below!) I’ll have a link at the bottom of this page for those using the Table of Contents.

Of course, I have to wear my Minnie Bride tee that I got a few months back on the drive down. No inspiration there, other than the obvious!

For dinner at ‘Ohana our first night, I let the vibe of the islands and the overall feel of the Polynesian be my guide.

For Day 1 at the MK, I thought what better inspiration than something Cinderella related! I decided her rose garden would lend to a pretty outfit to start out our trip!

Dinner that evening will be at Sci-Fi, so I wanted something “dazzling” for an evening in Hollywood. Sequins will work, I think!

For Day 2 at Epcot, I wanted something a little sophisticated to match the atmosphere of an afternoon in France, since we’ll de dining at Chefs de France!

Our evening will be spent at T-Rex, which is such a bright and colorful restaurant. I wanted a shirt that incorporated some of the beautiful colors of the eatery.

The morning and afternoon of Day 3 will be spent in our bathing suits, so no daytime outfit here. That evening we’ll enjoy our first signature meal, so of course I had to dress up! I wanted something that played off of the colors of the GF and its elegance, but also something light and airy like Narcoossee’s.

Day 4 will take us to the Animal Kingdom. There are so many places to draw inspiration here. I thought something with a slight safari feel would work!

That evening will be spent at the pool, and the following morning will be spent lounging around our room, so we go on to the afternoon and evening of Day 5. We’ll be heading to the MK, and that evening we’ll be going to the Wishes Desert Party! I wanted to something to reflect all of the vibrant colors that we would be seeing during Wishes.

HONEYMOON WARDROBE PART 2

It’s another bathing suit day on Day 6! That evening we’ll be going to the Beach Club for dinner at Cape May. I drew my inspiration from the colors of the hotel, and the beach in general.

On the morning of Day 7, we’ll be visiting the GF for our spa appointment! When I think of the spa I think of something light and airy. And of course, the GF is pretty and feminine!

That afternoon we’ll be spending some time at DHS and seeing Fantasmic! I wanted something that would reflect the “golden” days of Hollywood, as well as an outfit that would blend well with the park’s icon.

Day 8 is another bathing suit day! Later, we’ll head over to the Yacht Club for dinner, so another sundress was in order. I’ll be honest, I didn’t buy this dress for this occasion. I just saw it and really liked it, and this was the only place it would really fit in. So let’s just say that Yachtsman somehow lead me to come up with this outfit.

We’ll be starting off Day 9 dining with the princesses at Akershus, so naturally, I wanted to feel as pretty as a princess! And what says princess like the color pink and roses?

We’ll be at Epcot during the evening, too having dinner at La Hacienda. I let the colors of the restaurant and the pyramid that houses the Mexico pavilion be my inspiration.

Day 10 is actually a free day for us, so it’s hard to plan out an outfit with inspiration! We will be visiting some park, we’re just not sure what. I originally planned this outfit for the MK, letting the castle be my focal point.

And finally, that evening we’ll be dining at California Grill. I thought about the rich colors of the restaurant and how it somehow seems to be kind of connected to nature.

You’ll notice that I don’t have an outfit planned for the last day. I have no idea what I want to wear! It’s not too exciting to plan what you’re going to wear home. So, I think I’ll just see what I feel like. I am taking a few extra shirts so I’ll choose from one of those.

Tomorrow is one week until the wedding! And one week from Sunday we’ll be at Disney!

I haven't had time to post too many replies this week, but I'll be getting caught up on all of your reports this weekend!

Thank you! Yes, the 'Ohana dress is from Target! In fact, all of the signature meal dresses are (except for the Narcossee's dress). I was so happy to find them because they were all so affordable. It is hard to believe that I've had this PTR going for a year now! It definitely doesn't seem that long!
