We will be going for our first trip to DL in June, we were not able to get a room at one of the DL resorts for the time we will be there, we have a reservation at the Best Western Storvall's Inn. I can see where it is on the map, and have read its own reviews. Has anyone else stayed there, and is it ok??? I think my DL fears are calmed after reading what many of you have to say, so now, I am just worried about the good neighbor hotel I had chosen.

Thanks for the input ahead of time. :wave2:

I have never stayed there, but the sure bets are Candy Cane and Howard Johnson.

Of the ones directly across the street, the most praise seems to go to Best Western Park Place Inn and Suites. The least praise (of the across the street hotels) seems to go to Park View.

Go to tripadvisor.com and search your hotel - the give comprehensive reviews.

stayed there when we came in for the Rose Bowl this year. It is what it is - a motel. Doors outside, no hallway. Continental B'fast is okay, easy access to nearby restaurants. The walk is only a little farther than staying at the Paradise Pier. The rooms were older, but clean. The staff was really nice and accomodating. Great value - of course I was traveling with buddies for the game and didn't have to please the Mrs. and the girls, but it was more than okay. AND vs. staying at the Hyatt which we did in the summer 2003, it was definitely the way to go. The Hyatt shuttle was slow and CROWDED and the staff stunk. Hotel room was $$ and a let down...Stovall is not a bad way to go at all...you're close too! :cheer2:

We stayed there once a long time ago. It was ok. Nothing fancy but not too bad, either. It was within easy walking distance of stuff, though!

Hopefully things have changed since I was last there, which was a REALLY long time ago (probably about 10 years), but it was one of only two places BF and I have ever stayed where we vowed never to go back! The location was fine, but we had problems with the air conditioner leaking, and other room-quality problems.

My personal favorites in the area are HoJo and the Best Western Park Place Inn. I stayed at Carousel Inn once too, and that was fine.

Again, I would hope things have changed since my stay, and the others that commented seemed to have better experiences than I did. (Please read Trip Advisor too though -- I have found that the comments there are generally very helpful.)

Thanks everyone for your advice, I think we may switch hotels, but we will have fun just about anywhere. Thanks again, I look forward to sharing our trip report with you in June!!!
