Planning on doing an evening just to do all of HP - will that work

We plan to come in for an evening on the 29th dec just to do HP arriving about 5pm - would we be able to join the line this late or will it be closed for the day. We need to activate our passes before 31st dec thus an evening only. We would then return to do the parks the first week of jan when they will be quieter. My daughter has got a disability pass at universal in the past as she cannot join a queue for more than hr (max time she can be disconnected from medical equip which is not allowed on the rides), she usually gets a return time at long queues but I am concerned that the queue would be too long- heading towards closing time- and they will not do the return time thing- has anyone any experience in
1. how long hp rides will be at after 5
2. what happens to disabled riders if queue is very long thus the end would be approaching close time length - are they just told that they cannot do return times.
3. I am in a wheelchair (or scooter) - I can transfer fine, do I need anything from guest services to use wheelchair in queues - (I did in Busch a few years ago). Are all the queues wheelchair use-able.
4. If Hp is not a good idea for our evening visit has anyone got suggestions of which are/park we should do that evening.

The parks will be very, very busy. Not sure you can do both HP areas, but you can certainly try. You don't need anything special for wheelchairs. They can go through most of the queues. There are elevators for you to take instead of the stairs when needed.

It will be very very very bus and most of the crowds will likely be concentrated in those 2 areas
