Planning to do a split stay between Universal and Disney in August 09. Planning on Staying in Universal for 3 nights! My questions is when booking a hotel and or pkg deal does it usually include tickets to the parks or is it better to get the park tickets separtate? I see they have a deal 94.99 for 7 days but would it be cheaper to get it when i book the hotel? I am a triple A member as well - thanx for any suggestions

great thanx, i will look into buying the park tickets through AAA!

Definately look into AAA, but also, look at Universal's website. They sometimes offer their best ticket prices if you purhcase ahead of time off their website.

Also great rooms rates on the website.

Have Fun!

i will look into both - can you cancel both? just incase i book through AAA then get a better rate through Universal?

I'd get the tickets now if you're sure you're going. Our AAA office still had them for $82. I got them last week.

That way you're set with the tickets. I think it's cheaper than buying them through Universal, and those tickets have to be purchased in advance. You can't get them once you are there.

CALL your AAA local office. I live in NC, and when I looked at the tickets on the AAA site, the tickets were the same price as buying them from Universal ($405 for 4 people) I went to the AAA office in my area, and bought them there...the tickets for 4 people were $320. That is a huge savings. The tickets are the 7 day unlimited, and they do not expire.

Say I buy from AAA or the $94 deal that is listed here on Dis can those tickets be upgraded to an AP once we get to the parks?

Just called Triple A and they are 95 a ticket! maybe i will try a differnt office? also, my parents live in Florida do you think they can get me cheaper tickets?

costco sells these tickets for 92.99 for 7 consecutive days - including wet n wild - perhaps i'll get the tickets from there?

i assume the prices will not go down - what do you think?

Just to clarify, once the ticket is activated, it expires after 7 consecutive days. Not to be confused with Disney's "no exp" option where remaining days on a ticket are good forever.

Yes, my neighbor did this. USO also applied the full price paid for the 7 day tix, even though they were partially used, toward the cost of the AP.

I just checked aaa.com and the tix are now $95 there too, so calling a different office likely won't help. I'm sure glad I grabbed them when they were $79.99 a piece.

Having your parents get them for you probably won't help--at least not if they get them as Florida resident, as you would need to show proof of residency.
