Planning large family trip, best TA?

We are planning a large family trip for 2006. Does anyone have a reccomendation for a TA who would be helpful dealing with various families planning a trip all together/

We have always used Small World Vacations. They offer a rebate on your cruise and sometimes a nice gift.

They are highly recommended by Mousesavers.

Well, just for the record...

I like www.cruisequick.com both for their great prices and great service. Honestly, I'v contacted DU for a quote before and they never responded. I booked the trip myself and all is fine....we go in a another couple of weeks. Other times I have gotten a quote from DU but it was so much higher than other TA's, I couldn't use them although they were very friendly.

My family has used two different agencies, one being Small World. They were highly recommended by a friend of mine and I see why after having used them. I believe my agent's name was Beth and she was really very good. I, too, tried Dreams Unlimited and never got a response back. I do love the DIS, however I can't make someone want to help me, and even though they support the boards here, I was looking to plan a trip--I can't plan a trip without an agent! I heard back from Small World within 24 hours and was on my merry way shortly after.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am a obsessive planner and like to know all my options.

Just to let people know I emailed Dreams Unlimited last night for a quote and and When I went to their site this afternoon with the reservation # given to me when I made the request all the info. was there. It was great price! I will still be checking but wanted to let those reading this know.

Ouch, me too on DU. I really wanted to talk to someone about our family cruise planning - we ended up with 9 rooms and 22 people - and when I contacted DU, they basically told me they operated only by email, don't call. They would not give me even basic info over the phone. I guess I needed my hand held a little more than they were able to do. My next TA from Vacations To Go would not respond to me at all, even when I called and sent emails asking her to accept a payment!!
I finally became a TA myself about a year ago. Believe me, my group had the best TA ever! HA!

We have done very well with DU. We have 20 people, 6 cabins, several different last names, and 3 different cabin catagories. They managed to get us 4 of the 6 SPH rooms for the Christmas 05 Magic.

We noticed a typo in the date the ballance was due on one of the rooms, and DU fixed it right away with no problems.

I asked for quotes from Small World, Dreams Unlimited, checked Travelocity, and some others, and Dreams responded the fastest with the lowest price for our 2/19 cruise. I could have searched some more, but felt good about using Dreams.

I've checked cruisequick.com and the rates are great, but I want to give DU a chance...

I just booked the first time with DU and I have to say that they were very prompt with all emails...had the best price and seem to be on top of things. My contact person was Merrie and she has been very helpful. This is our 2nd time on DCL and the first one we booked with AAA...they were ok but nothing really special so to speak. Just my two cents...
