I wanted to come down with my husband and my in laws. Even if it's a resort only stay I was thinking we may still have a good time. Is it worth 2k for a resort only stay?

Depends on what $2k means to you.

With dining possibly constrained, pools with listed capacity, and other changes, will you have the experience you want? Is $2k a lot to you?

All very good points, thanks.
Didn't think about the dining or pool restrictions.

This is just my opinion, but, given the uncertainty, if you definitely want to go to Walt Disney World this July, then I would suggest booking a reasonably priced room directly through Central Reservations, rather than entering into a contractual agreement. Going through Central Reservations will give you greater flexibility, with rebooking, if needed.
